No cow is one of the best vegan protein bars I’ve found. The cookie dough flavor is great. They recently changed the formula. It tastes even better. Before it had a stronger molasses flavor, but it’s more subtle now. The chocolate brownie is another good flavor. They bars are not hard or chalky. They have a soft, chewy consistency. Highlights: high protein content, low saturated fat, no cholesterol, no added sugar (but it has sugar alcohols), great flavor, sodium only 9% (not bad comparatively). Caution: The other flavors can be hit or miss.

I never leave this type of review but I had to this time. I was so excited to get these bars in as I'm looking for a protein bar with no milk or gluten and with very low carbs. I opened up the package the moment they got here and took a huge bite. I had to spit the bite out it was so bad. I had my son try them thinking it was just me, nope! Had my husband take them to work and 3 people tried them. Finally we found someone who would eat them, so I gave them to her (she is a vegan). The bars are very floppy as they are sometimes when there's no gluten. They are EXTREMELY pasty in your mouth and the after taste lingers forever. I actually had to eat garlic pickles and brush my teeth to get the flavor out of my mouth. Unless you are a complete vegan or like veryyyy earthy flavors, I would never recommend these to anyone. This review is not meant to be mean, but wow.... They were just truly that bad in my opinion. The search continues for another dairy free, gluten free and low carb bar.

I’ve been eating Quest bars for the past year or more, and I love them, but have been trying to reduce dairy, including whey protein. Hence a trial of the NoCow bar. I prefer the taste of the Quest bars, also the texture, but these bars are good, and have similar macros and truly the taste and texture are pretty good. I like the quality of ingredients, including low sugar and higher protein and fiber. I anticipate that I will adapt and in short order become enamored with NoCow, at which point I’ll gladly update my review.

My husband loves these! He is a surgeon and very picky about his protein products. These have an excellent calorie to protein ratio and keep him full. Good ingredients and good taste.

Great taste and quality

These are solid choice for a vegan protein bar. They are very high in protein and have good ingredients. The flavor is ok, but I would not call it great. They use a mix of Erythritol, Stevia, and Monk Fruit as a sweetener. I find things with Erythritol get a funny aftertaste. Some people don't mind it, but I notice it. I would prefer these were made with just Stevia and think they would taste better if they were. But, they are not bad, they are OK. I would still get them again as they are solid in terms of protein and are 100% vegan. I wish I could buy them one at a time to try the different flavors and not have to commit to a whole box of a flavor. That would make it easier to determine which are best flavor wise. Overall, yes, I would buy again.
