This purple jacket is amazing. Lots of pockets. The hood can be worn with or without faux fur. It unzips from the hood. The hood is still very attractive and warm. It is very easy to get behind my steering wheel. It would be hard to find a comparable winter coat at this price. The only caution is sizing. I fit well within the parameters of a medium. But it did not fit. When I ordered the large, it was perfect. However, as a Prime Member, they issued a return code immediately.

Ok, I read so many reviews before purchasing this coat. They were very helpful. The good reviews are not lying, this coat is great! It was delivered quickly and arrived in a cute zippered package, which was great because it was pouring rain when it was delivered. I got to use my new coat the following day in the cold weather. It is so warm! I had to walk in the wind and I felt no wind at all! It's very comfortable, not bulky like other winter coats. The velcro on the top of the hood is nice so you can adjust the hood to fit so it won't fall down too far over your face. The pockets kept my hands warm, too. The pockets are in the front of the coat, instead of on the sides, which is a little annoying but that's not a make or break component for me and I'm already getting used to that. There are snaps on the sides of the coat so if you prefer a little more leg room for some reason, you can have it. The outer cuff has two fasteners so you can adjust the fit, if needed. The inner stretchy cuff is nice, not too tight and not too loose. It allows you to tuck your gloves inside if you like. The arm length of the coat is perfect, not too short like other coats. I've used this coat outside while shoveling snow and it was great! Again, so warm! This coat is water proof, which is nice when in the snow shoveling as well as for impromptu snowball fights. I bought an XL and can wear a sweater or pull-over hoodie under it and it still fits nicely. Although, the coat is so warm that a big sweater isn't needed. I love that this coat is made from recycled materials and has no real fur on it and no real duck down in it. I hope this review is as helpful as some of the ones I read before purchasing. I totally recommend this winter coat! I absolutely love it!

I love this jacket so much I just ordered a second one to have once this one finally wears out! It is well made, heavy duty, really warm but not to where you will sweat. I took the fir off as I have horses and need to work outside in the rain and snow. I am a 38DD up top, and first I ordered an XL and it was huge! So they quickly refunded me and I bought a Large. Bingo - fits up top with a thin puffer jacket or thick sweater underneath for extra warmth. It is wind proof, and so far, water proof. Large front pockets I can slide my thick gloves in and out as I work on the ranch. I ran into a nail here and there and so far, no rips or snags! I wear a size 6 or 8 in woman's pants and not very "hippy" and there is allot of room in the hip area of this jacket. That works our well as I have to bend over allot while working. I am able to easily sit if needed, even drive a car/truck. If you have generous hips, this is the jacket for you. I LOVE the length and extra protection from the wind and cold. The hood, wrist and waist all have adjustments if needed. The only one I brought in is the hood around my face. I have used the double zipper feature a few times where I unzipped to get to clothing or pockets underneath the jacket and it is handy since the length is so long. You need to get both zipperheads lined up together at the bottom and then feed in the other side down through both heads and then it zips up easily. I soon realized this is one of those rare occasions where when this jacket finally wears out, I would be so sad so I ordered an extra one to have in the closet for the future. You know what I mean about that perfect clothing item that you have a hard time replacing..? This is it. Hope this helps someone

It's hard to complain about a substantial coat like this for $50. I'm a pear shaped size 14/16 with 36D bust & I sized up to an XXL - too big. I should have ordered an XL. My only 2 small complaints are that the coat I received felt lumpy - like the filling was balled up inside, unevenly. Also, the 'off white' color is butter yellow. Ultimately I returned the coat due to size, but I will reorder it in another color. Love the button front option & side snaps - great for pear shapes & sitting in a car flexibility. I have no doubt this coat would keep me warm on early morning 10 degree dog walks. UPDATE: I ordered an XL in navy blue ($40 - such a deal) & it fits perfect with a little room to spare. This coat was different - it had a really cheap looking fur ruff & no side snaps. These are 2 huge negatives, but the body of this coat is otherwise perfect. It's a true dark navy blue, no uneven, lumpy filling, & I velcro/ clipped the hood back to keep it out of my eyes. I can compensate for the no side snaps - with the double zip & buttons - but that was a big disappointment.

I really love how warm this coat keeps me. It is very well made with a lot of attention to detail put into its design, The wrists of the coat have wrist bans that block the wind and cold from coming up through the sleeves and the hood has an inner pulley that helps draws the hood closer to my face which effectively keeps the wind and cold out. The coat can be zipped and buttoned, but even just buttoning the coat and not zipping it keeps the cold out. The back of the hood has a strip of velcro that the hood can be made shorter by if the hood is too big and falls too far down the face. I used the velcro strip to shorten the hood and the hood fits perfectly now. But I removed the fur around the hood as it made it look as if I had grey, wild looking hair framing my face. But, other than that, this coat really is outstanding. The coat has snaps around the hip area that can be undone to make the coat less restrictive for those who may find the coat too snug around the hips. The coat can also be pulled in at the waist by inner cords which is another great feature of this coat. I am 5'1 and three quarters inches tall and weigh 124 pounds. I ordered a medium because I like to wear heavy sweaters and wanted to have extra space in the coat to accommodate a heavy sweater. I ordered my coat in pink and it really is a very light colored, pretty pink. The medium is roomy enough for me to wear a heavy sweater under it and not feel like a stuffed sausage within it. I just love this coat! I am surprised that it is not priced higher as it very well could be due to how well it's made and how warm it keeps me in cold weather.

I needed a new winter coat and took the chance on buying one online since shopping in my town is horrible. It seems to be well made and sturdy. It's not been cold enough yet to ware it but from the way it feels when I put it on I know it is going to be very warm. I have to have a coat that blocks the wind because I live in a state with wind most of the time. Winter wind will blow right through coats if they aren't made to block it. I made sure this one was made to block it and I can't hardly wait to wear it. Only thing is....the hood is massive! Keeps the wind out of your face but also blocks your vision. I really love a hood so I'll just make do. No problems otherwise. Update: It finally got cold enough to wear this coat. It IS nice and warm and blocks the wind very well. The only thing I DON'T like is the hood....this hood is HORRIBLY HUGE! When pulled up it falls completely over my head AND face. Oh yeah....It blocks the wind but it also blocks my vision. I do prefer a coat with a hood but this is ridiculous! Taking off the fur does not help either. Sorry but I have to take off a couple of stars for this massive hood!

I bought a large, but it was too big. I returned it to buy a medium. In the worst days of winter, this coat is exceptional. It's warm, moisture resistant, and very well made. I call this "the animal" because this isn't a coat you can just throw on and run, as it is insulated and puffy, but then, if you're looking to stay protected from the elements, this coat will take care of you. For the price, this coat is a bargain! I expect it will last a long time given its workmanship. Only thing I didn't like was the faux fur around the hood, because it was flat and not full and fluffy, but it is detachable so no big deal. No regrets in buying this coat.

I haven't worn it yet but l can give you another review in December.

Bought this while travelling to UK for studies.Has held up in the winter very well.If you are thinking of buying a coat online, this definitely is a good option

Winter is coming..... I ordered this coat on 26 November - the delivery date was set to 09 December. Y'all saw the news.... massive storms destroyed most interior BC highways & railways - cargo ships couldn't reach Vancouver to unload - so the order was understandably delayed to 30 December. Thing is, we're selling our house and all my winter clothes are packed in storage. I got the Amazon delay notice, panicked and emailed customer service. The very next day (10 Nov) I get a DHL email confirming immediate delivery - 3 days later I'm trying it on. Now that's a Christmas miracle. No wait - it was marked down $40+ for black Friday to $95 (go figure) what a blessing! This coat was made in Ohio (not f?&#@!% China) - reliable US manufacturing - well made sturdy material (no chemical scent) - completely blocks rain and wind - fit exact to size (I'm 5.1 slightly portly 117 lbs - so medium fits nicely) It zips to the neck and reaches almost to my knees - so most of my body is covered/protected. That said, it's light weight - dons and doffs quickly/easily. The fur piece zippers off (thank God) and that big hood will certainly keep the rain off. The satin-smooth lining is thickly padded so the coat is very warm (like toasty) and I'd rate it perfect for snow shoeing or long winter hikes. I'm really happy. Mostly this is to THANK Amazon customer service staff (and DHL) for coming through, now I have a great winter coat and grateful indeed for their kind hearts and hard work.... I was a bit of a skeptic, buying a winter coat that I couldn’t try on first, but I can’t stress enough how pleased I am with my coat. The fit is great, the zipper is good quality & the buttons are well sewn into the coat. I was outside yesterday, minus 9 degrees Celsius (I live in Canada). I believe that’s 15 degrees in Fahrenheit and I was warm, even with the wind gusts, which made it colder. Re the colour, I’ve never had an (olive or army) green coat before. I forget the exact name of the green, but there are four of us in my family & they all have black winter coats. Life is actually a bit easier to open the closet door & see my coat right away. The side pockets easily fit my phone, keys & wallet, when I don’t was to take a purse. The pockets have button closures, eliminating pick pockets, and are lined so they also provide warmth for my hands if I forget my gloves. I will DEFINITELY recommend this coat to all my friends and family!

Not feminine as shown in photos. Comes up very large in shoulders. Had to return as far too big. I'm a UK size 8 and ordered small.
