Has anyone used these on acoustic/electric bass? used acoustic strings for years. Can't get that mtv unplugged sound, (aic, nirvana)?

They make DR Acoustic Bass strings as well. Great sound and keep in tune pretty well.

Is this a set of four strings? Is this good for a fret less bass?

For four string bass. Not sure about a fretless bass. I don’t play those, however, had a friend that played one and he preferred flat wound.

Silly question but how do these look compared to other steel bass strings? Shiny chrome like nickel or greyish like most others?

They are not nickle wound so they are not chrome looking. They look very similar to a set of Rotosounds. They feel & sound similar to them too. Awesome strings.
