FURemover Pet Hair Removal Rubber Broom, 58" Telescopic Handle

I have thought a lot about how to properly to review this broom. How dumb is that? That I am worrying about a broom review on Amazon. Golly, anyway. If you have any hard surfaces in your house and have any pets. BUY THIS BROOM. Don’t think or stress about it. Just buy it. Let me explain. I have no carpets in my house because I have pets. I had 3 Chi-something dogs, (yes, I just lost one, RIP Roxie {sniff, sniff}, but still have 2) and a big black cat. All these fur people have a ton of hair that floats around and lands everywhere along with the dust. (I live in AZ, and while during daylight hours I may wish to hide in the darkest and coolest place in my house, others go in and out of the house allowing dust and flying things inside, and to boot I have an old front door that lets in dust through cracks. That dang dust is everywhere all the time. It is just sad.) I have purchased a variety of different brooms and dusters to help me with the floating fur and dust problem. Each one had their own pluses and minuses, mostly minuses. Mainly because to get rid of the fur balls, I still had to fight the broom bristles or fabric to pull off the dusty dirty furballs that get stuck. ICK! Some brooms have the type of bristles where you can NEVER get all the hair out. I found myself constantly fighting to get the fur balls out. I even found that I was pulling out the lint brush for the fabric ones or washing them after every use. It was crazy. Then one day I found myself researching a stationary floor vacuum from Amazon. I found the one I was looking for and added it to my cart, and the screen said; “many people who purchase this item also purchase this broom”. I thought What…? Really that thing? Why? I researched it, it had good reviews. I thought, “I have enough random and useless brooms to support a squadron of witches, do I really need another for backup?” I read the best and worst reviews I could find, and decided why not, I could use a backup broom, you know for parts. The vacuum and the broom arrived together. I set them up and decided to sweep up the hallway with this new rubber broom. I was not prepared for how this thing was going to work. I went for the dust bunny infested hallway certain it would work like the other brooms. Then it happened, the clouds parted the angels sang and the room was filled with light. Mostly because I turned on the hall light. (I normally keep it off because I don’t want to see the dust bunnies milling about the the walls.) Seriously, it was AMAZING! First the handle on this thing is solid and long enough for a moderately tall person like me. Solid enough that when I nearly passed out, it caught me and kept me upright without collapsing. The bristles are some type of rubber that are solid and not gushy, but don’t scratch or mark the walls or the floor. On one side of the broom head, you get the bristles, the other is like a floor squeegee. If one side doesn’t work, flip it, the other side will work. Soon I was going up and down the hall collecting the rando dust bunnies that were trying to flee the scene. But I was able to round them all up and put them in front of the new vacuum and poof! They were sucked up and gone into the belly of the beast. (That is when I needed the solid handle for support, the knees got weak.) Nothing stuck to this broom. The hair and dust was all just gone. No bending over picking it up, or getting a dustpan, or fighting the broom for it. I immediately went back over the hall to see what I left then I realized this new broom could dust off the floorboards. I went up and down the hall sweeping off the floorboards. Then I went back over the floor with the squeegee side. I picked up more dirt and dust and pushed it in front of the vacuum. It was magic. I put the broom in front of the vacuum so it would take off any remaining anything clinging to the rubber head (there was nothing I saw but I am old and don’t always trust my eyes). Once again and it appeared to work perfectly. The next crime scene was the kitchen floors. I went for the area under the cabinets and around the stove and frig. I realized that this thing picked up all the pieces, and I could now mop without bringing out the vacuum to get the unseen particles that I never seem to get all of before I mop. Needless to say, the arrival of this broom resulted in me getting my floors clean and when I was done, it was sturdy enough to get me to a chair to collapse in. The other brooms in the house have been moved outside for recreational riding only. I love this thing. Now, when I see the dust bunnies starting to loiter in the hall, I just grab the broom and get them to the vacuum, and it is done. If you have hard service floors and pets, buy this broom, it will be the best money you have spent in a long time. You’re welcome. Ps We had a grand wet mess on the tile. I brought out this broom and used the squeegee side. It worked like a dream.

This broom works amazingly well. We have a German Shedder (Shepherd). My bedroom carpet looks like this after two or three days. I usually work from 8 to 8 so by the time I get home at night, I don’t have time to sweep it. Today is bedroom cleaning day. But instead of clogging up my vacuum, I give it a good sweep first and it gets 90% of the hair. It works really really well. Highly recommend this to anybody. It also works incredibly well on our hardwood floors.

Removes pet hair from my rug better than a vacuum but it takes some work.

I bought this broom to remove pet hair in my one bedroom apartment. We lived here for one year with a shedding dog a cat. We own a vacuum but it can barely pick up a popcorn kernel in 10 passes let alone deal with pet hair. The only somewhat worthwhile tool I had to deal with it all was actually getting on my hands and knees and actually brushing the carpet with a pet grooming brush, which was exhausting and rough on the carpet. I also was very afraid to buy a whole new vacuum and spend hundreds of dollars on something that might just clog up and break when faced with all the hair we had here. So I started looking into carpet brooms and rakes. At least if it didn't work, I'd only be out 20 or 30 dollars, tops. There are other carpet rakes and carpet brooms out there that use metal tines, and while I appreciated the sturdy look of it, I noted the reviewers that had issues with the rakes 'jumping' or catching on the carpet. I haven't tried and of the metal carpet rakes, and I don't think I will, since this broom is exactly what I needed. Other products may be effective, but I know with certainty that this one is. I chose this broom because it is marketed specifically as a fur remover and because of the positive reviews describing it, so I'm here to add one more. Like other reviews have noted, this broom is at it's most effective on pet hair when the rubber blade is used, as opposed to the rubber bristles. I was very, very skeptical that the solution to my pet hair problem was something as ludicrous as squeegeeing my carpet, but the results are undeniable. The bristle side does a bit of hair removal, but it often tosses hair out of the way or into the air. I find it's best to use the blade side, and then once everything is clean, to 'fluff' the carpet with the bristles. It makes it look very new and fresh. It's important to note that while this is very effective and very cheap, it's not a miracle. Using this broom on carpet does take a measure more energy than sweeping a smooth floor. As a healthy 24 year old, this did tire me out after 20-30 minutes of work. If you are not fully able-bodied, or just aren't looking to work that hard to save the money, a powerful vacuum cleaner may still be your wisest choice. Also, most non-hair objects will be bounced around by this broom rather than sweeping them up into a pile. In an odd way I was fortunate that all the hair I swept actually trapped a lot of other things inside it as I swept, but you're likely still going to need a vacuum cleaner to take care of the rest. Personally, I plan to purchase a small 20 dollar shop-vac as a companion to this broom, especially because right now I have to just pick up the wads of hair with my hands. The picture I've attached is what I swept from only about a quarter of my apartment. I lured my 40 pound dog into posing next to the hair I extracted for scale and for humorous effect. I also attached a before and after picture of a small section of carpet under my desk. This should highlight the improvement in hair (And even some other debris) removal, as well as how the bristles where able to easily fluff back up a section of carpet that had been pressed down over many months by a heavy metal power strip. Note that in the 'after' picture you can notice some hair still at the baseboard. This is just because It's difficult for me to reach under my desk, and not because there's any difficulty the broom itself has getting close to objects. I hope this gives anyone curious a full run-through of what the broom is actually capable of.

i have whole house tile and laminate flooring and three very hairy and dirty dogs. i sweep mostly with a regular nylon bristle broom and a microfiber push broom on the daily for the dirt and hair, but some days/weeks it just gets away from me. muddy paws, fur embedding itself into kitchen mats, etc. for days when i need to clean up mud i use a moistened microfiber pad with my push broom and a spray bottle. i'm always trying to find ways to simplify my tool collection and make my work easier. i remember like a decade or two ago my aunt getting a rubber broom for Christmas and enthusiastically demonstrating what it could do, particularly when it came to getting hair out of carpet. i decided to look into it to see if they're still being made and found a bounty of rubber brooms with lots of claims of its versatility, so i decided to try this one out. to be honest, i don't find this broom to be any better than traditional cleaning tools. as a dry broom, it leaves behind dust streaks, especially in the grout in the tile. as a wet mop and squeegee, it was not robust enough to bring up a lot of the stuck on mud and since it's rubber, it just leaves behind pools of dirty water i need to sop up anyway. i found my microfiber mop pad to work better. with a little elbow grease the dog fur came out of the bathmats and doormats, but because it grips the fabric as well as the hair, it tugs the carpet out of place and i need to hold it down with my foot to get anything done. pushing and pulling the broom and squeegee feel very different depending on which direction you're sweeping and seem to be only remotely effective in one particular direction. the broom seems well made and unlike a lot of people, i found the handle to be quite sturdy and the extension feature worked flawlessly. i actually wish all my brooms and mops had it. it makes adjusting to different jobs, different people's heights and storage much easier. its low profile makes it possible to get under my lo-pro couch. the rubber broom head was attached very sturdily and did not loosen as i used it. but it just isn't what i expected and doesn't seem to help my cleaning regiment in any way. i think this would be better suited for folks with carpet or much larger area rugs. for a mostly tile house, no real benefit over the ye olden broom and mop.

This works great - been trying to figure out how to get rid of unwanted dog hair that the vacuum isn't picking up. Definitely a bit of a workout but worth the result! So far used on rugs and the hard wood - its nice to use as an alternative as a broom for dog hair because it seems to not miss anything.

I have a very small house and lots of critters who shed profusely. I also have a standard poodle who is just a puppy (a very BIG puppy) and he loves to garden. Jake's favorite activity is to bring his trophies into the house, old grape vines, dahlia tubers, flags I use to mark where I planted specific items, he is not particular, he loves it all! Jake is a teething power house so he is constantly tracking in "stuff" to share with us. Between him and the cats I am busy sweeping or vacuuming all of the time, yet always and forever chasing dust bunnies and other detritus that floats around the house or trapped in the carpet. I have a great little vacuum cleaner but it just can't seem to lift the grit and fuzz either. And, as so many other reviewers mention, I was always left with a sense of frustration when I finished sweeping only to see nearly as much stuff on the floor as I emptied into the garbage. There were times when I was so frustrated that my carpet seemed to have lost it's luster so I would grab a grooming brush for the pets and rake the carpet. White it worked well it was hard to use such a small tool over a large area and I was afraid it would damage the nap and the fibers in the carpet. So I wished that there was a tool designed to rake the carpet but not damage it. When I saw this broom and the wonderful reviews about it I was very excited! Reviews have become an important tool that I use when I am trying to make up my mind if I want to buy an item that I can't evaluate personally. So I always spend quite a bit of time reading reviews before I buy including the negative ones and and that was true of this broom. More times than not when an item is highly rated there are usually a few reviews that are negative but unless they are specific about their complaints, and/or if their complaints are not fairly consistent with one another I don't pay much attention to them. Most of the criticism and complaints about this broom were quite consistent, without a lot of rancor and the majority of the negative reviews concerned the viability of the handle. So I decided that if the broom worked as well as the multitude of positive reviews indicated, it would be quite easy to switch out the handle with another one without spending too much money. I received my Evriholder FuRemover Broom and I was eager to give it a whirl and here's what I found. It came in a box about a third the size of a regular broom so it was not clumsy to handle when it arrived. The broom consists of two telescoping plastic (?) tubes with a plastic type ring to hold the tube in place when the broom is adjusted. Neither I or my husband could manage to get the tubes to stay connected. The third piece was the attachment for sweeping which screws onto the handle, all in all a very simple concept and design. Which made me wonder why somebody hadn't designed something like this before! It's not like space age technology. So broom together and here we go! Per reviews, the rubber head of the broom worked exceptionally well once I was able to determine which side of the broom was the most useful for a specific a purpose. My floors are carpet and laminate and as I mentioned, host a number of fuzzy critters which seem to elude the dustpan no matter how hard I try to contain them, and I sweep and vacuum daily, often two or three times a day. The broom lifted a surprising amount of grit from the carpet and captured those elusive fuzz bunnies without tearing the carpet fibers, and to my surprise it managed to do as well on the hardwood. All appears good - right? Not so fast! I found the broom awkward to use because a regular broom head is more flexible and easier to get into places, even though it leaves 2/3 of the dirt on the floor. And the plastic handle can cause quite a bit of friction and my hands burned and nearly blistered. They were sore for a week after using the broom, as was my back. It seems to me that it takes more energy to use this broom. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before the handle collapsed and I could not manage to secure it no matter how hard I tried. Arrrrgh! The broom is currently sitting in pieces in the closet until I can find a good handle for it. Considering the difference in the feel of this type of broom vs a regular broom, increased energy expenditure, awkwardness of use, and the overall unfamiliarity with this broom vs the feel of a regular broom I had to decide whether to keep it or send it back. Because the handle is the primary source of the problem and it can be replaced easily the price is reasonable, it is worth having the broom even if I do not use it exclusively. I would encourage consumers to weigh the trouble of purchasing an item that has a large potential for being less than advertised vs the time and effort to return it. One that very well might sit in the closet, rarely if ever used. To buy or not to buy is definitely the challenge regarding this broom! NOTE: On the review page off to the right side I notice that this boom is advertised as having a value of a little over $50.00 but has been marked down to the current price. This is a gross exaggeration of the brooms value. I am absolutely stunned at the lengths advertisers will go to make consumers think they are getting a great buy! Per Amazon, my purchase arrived quickly and was well packaged. Thanks to all of you folks who take the time to write thoughtful reviews. It is a valuable service we do for one another. I have come to depend on reviews to make educated shopping decisions and I hope my reviews are helpful to you too ~*~ UPDATE; As the days pass and I open the broom closet I see this Evriholder Broom lying in pieces and I kick myself mentally for buying it, especially when a broom handle is @ $12.00, I would have kicked my derriere but my legs refused to cooperate with my directive. I decided this broom just was not worth keeping so contacted Amazon and asked to return it and I followed their instructions. no postage required~*~

Get one to keep close to your litter boxes too. UNLIKE some reviews on here, I have NEVER had a handle crack. The reviewers just screwed the YELLOW handle TOO TIGHT when assembling or adjusting the handle length/height. The newer model has sections that screw together to adjust handle length. I prefer the immediate ability to adjust the YELLOW handle without taking it apart like on the telescoping handle model. And again, I’ve never had a handle crack. DO NOT TIGHTEN TOO TIGHT! The last broom I bought was in 2017. Having had many furry family members, I use the broom many times a day. It’s now 2024 and the last standard size (medium) broom is STILL going strong with no need for replacement (7 years old and clean like new). Same for the smaller size broom with the white/silver adjustable stick type handle. Again, Watch the demo tapes! IF YOU HAVE PETS IT IS A PERFECT SOLUTION for CAT LITTER, HAIR, ETC. or in a beauty salon, barber shop, bakery, art gallery, garage, woodworking shop, sawdust, sand … anywhere really. Very happy to have found this! Perfect replacement for my 20+ year old Sweepa broom. They look and perform identically, right down to the squeegie and the height-adjustable handle. This broom is far better than any other similar rubber brooms (or even the silicone ones) that I've tried. Love that it can quickly be adjusted to a size that is short enough to fit inside my vehicle's trunk and in my short broom closet. Worth having just for the handle alone! Super practical. Great for getting snow off vehicle, porch, and outdoor bench/furnishings. Also useful when washing area rugs outdoors. I have also used this broom to wash floors, windows, walls, aluminum siding, ceramic shower stalls, and my vehicle by placing a large wet/damp towel over the rubber broom head. As for removing fur off indoor carpeting or general sweeping of hard floors (wood, ceramic, etc), neither this broom nor any other similar product does a truly good job. Good for gathering fur off of wall-to-wall carpeting or an upholstered chair/couch, but definitely not area rugs or door mats as they will slide around with the sweeping pressure/motion. Might slso be handy in a salon for sweeping hair clippings.

Also Ich hab was ganz anderes bekommen - statt der Plastik-Bürste hab ich ne "Staubwischer" erhalten... Damit werde ich die Tierhare von den Teppich sicher nicht entfernen... Geht wieder zurück

It really does as advertised! Takes some hard work, but brings so much fur up out of the carpet!

I looked for a long time before I found this broom. Every other one I've tried had flimsy handles that buckled and were completely useless. We do not have pets but I have medium length hair that sheds like a sheep dog. And if I can't manage to get it off the carpets it twines itself around the vacuum cleaner rotors and eventually burns out the motor. It's very hard to remove it from the vacuum so this will make the job so much simpler. The first time I used the broom was not long after vacuuming the house and it picked up a fist full of hair. The handle is sturdy even when it's telescoped to full length and locks in place. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend this great broom.
