great book
Good book really insightful and great sources. I felt like I learned a lot about tariffs and the impacts on the economy.

Economic insightful yet inquisitive research provided by Ms LaRocco’s trade-winds deep dive.
I’m a railroad economist — MA Un. of Chicago — now a semi-retired teacher and a freight journalist.I have decades of experience as a so called library-stacks researcher. Today we call it “googaling”.Point is, I know first hand the intellectual and the commercial value of finding the footnotes and the graphics/tables that tell a technical story.Want to understand the geo/politics of this trade war as a book of evidence? Then get this documentation by Lori Ann LaRocco. She has assembled the facts and summarized the developing global uncertainty that clearly threatens both USA and world trade. With tax at about $32 bucks... TRUST ME please.... ....it is a commercial bargain.Need more evidence before acting? We are now in a US deepening freight recession. There is your evidence. Her research shows how in large part by political bluster — perhaps well intentioned — our economy has turned a bit sour. CAPEX growth investment is stalling amidst “uncertainty” in shifting trade movements —BOTH AT SEA — and on land routes.Thank you Ms. LaRocco.I’m Jim Blaze. I take on the task of writing occasional review comments like this seriously.Economics isn’t a hobby to me. Its a profession. And yes, I have poured over her key text, tables, and graphics before I wrote this. Checking footnotes is my business.

Interesting, but fuzzy graphics
Good book. The graphics and charts (at least in the paperback version I got) were so tiny, they were illegible. That’s my only gripe. Otherwise a good quick read. All about the trade war during Trump’s presidency. It will be interesting to read books that will be written after 2021.

Limited Perspective on Trade War
The author explains the impact of trade wars between the US and China with detailed interviews as well as quantitative research. However she never fully understood from the start why President Trump started a trade war. Her limited or narrow perspective on Ocean Trade provides a good picture of trade flow itself while macro & geopolitical explanation is none. Simply this is a great book to use as a resource to demonstrate the economic impact of the trade war but showed extremely limited understanding since the author only licked the surface of the trade war, not the deep inside why it had to have happened.

Containers
Great read. I now understand how market forces react to tariffs and who pays for them. Loved the pictures and data as well.

Who the real winners are in the US-China trade war!
Whether like me, you’re involved in international logistics and trade, or simply interested in how the current US-China trade war is effecting the flow of goods globally, this book is a must read. Lori Ann has written an easy to read book, chocked full of facts and data, that lifts the curtain on all the bluster and separates fact from fiction!

Navigate through the Bluster
Evidently the title refers to the bluster the author creates. I wondered if I was reading a political book intending to condemn Donald Trump or trying to learn something useful about modern logistical activities.

Truth on the water and at the ports.
This no nonsense book is fact heavy and gives excellent insight into the world of logistics. Ignore the news and look at the market indicators to know the truth about who knew what and when.
