Additionally, if you fell, the way the unit is designed it would apply additional pressure against the rope to prevent slipping to catch and hold you in place. You must manually release the spring tension by lifting the lever which disengages the teeth against the rope and then slide the unit up or down the rope as desired. **Q: How do u attach this to a rop that has a loop on one end and a hook thing on the other end?** A: This is what I did; 1) Remove the tape holding the loop together and un-braid those lines. 3) Slide the rope grab onto the rope (make sure its the right direction). Then 4) braid the end lines back into the rope to make the end loop again and re-tape the braided area of the rope. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Glad to find it listed. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2017* Rope grab is light and strong. Holds very well. Has to be relaxed manually to let rope through when you go up or down to your next work position. Works with 1/2 or 5/8 inch safety rope. Price is right, I bought two. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Good price. Quality product *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2015* Quick shipping. Good price. Quality product. Be aware that you may have to un-loop/braid the bottom end of your rope to install this rope grab. I just re-braided the end and taped it back up. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars One Star *by N***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2016* Item is NOT stainless steel as description states.
