I upgraded to this device from the cheaper, more basic model.Used it in Australia, US and Asia without issues.Data packages could be a little cheaper in some regions but never had an issue.Always a great signal, reasonable speed and it was helpful to be able to see remaining data on the screen.

This device is a handy little thing. It gave a stable connection in areas where my phone could not. Data prices are reasonable and cover every region you could desire.I would recommend restarting the device every 12 hours or so as it can get a little glitchy.

Used it in Italy, China and Greece so far and its great fir travel.Russia seems blocked currently so that may be an issue.....politics shouldn't impact on this type device

Product did the job but found much better connectivity with 2G option (used USB tethering for laptop). 5G signal fell away rapidly when G4 Pro moved more than a foot or two away.

Why can’t I change the language on other apps . It’s all in Chinese & you can’t change it . So you can’t use travel GPT ext ext . It spoils it

Not very happy with this product. Purchased to take with me to Jamaica. I was so excited that I could hook up all my devices. What a disappointment. I'm so sending this back. I am adding to this review. I feel stuck and isolated with no WiFi. I tried to buy local data to see if it would work, I brought a 15 days plan, it has not added it. I am crying now with disappointment and I cannot get a hold of customer services as I have no WiFi to do so. I am using someone else's data to post this review 🤬🤬🤬

Bought for the cottage where we have limited LTE in rural PEI. Was a last ditch effort as two local internet providers couldn’t get a signal for service. Have 3 LTE bars and decent browsing speeds with this device. Like the fact we can buy data without a contract so when we’re not here, we’re not paying. Although more expensive per use, cheaper in the long run.

Purchased this to give periodic wifi to my wife's Mom because she does not want to get on a wifi or phone data plan for one day of WhatsApp video calling with Europe a month. Excellent that you can add data on a as you need basis. Only issue I had is when we ran out of data my wife had to turn device on and off to activate the new plan which we did not exactly understand was necessary when her video call died due to no more data. It's also a great backup for us if we ever need portable wifi etc. I like the screen so I can control on device itself. Translator feature did not have the core language I need but has many of the major languages.

Put in a Rogers tablet SIM card and it worked perfectly right off the bat, no configuration required.I needed to buy additional data and it was simple through the GLocal Me app - the top tier data package is $169USD for 100gigs of data and that's far cheaper than any available data add-on from Rogers or Bell.The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is it's pretty evident that your data use is somehow exaggerated - I'd guess the "reported" data it says you're using is in fact about 20% more than what you're actually using. Having said that nothing else in this price range (both for the device and the data plans) can top the reliability and "just works" factor of this device.Note: the device boots up for the first time with 1g of free data but to claim the 8gigs free offer you need to contact their customer support using the GLocal Me app. An operator did respond live in the app chat window and after waiting for 20 mins they did in fact load the device with an additional 8 gigs of data, no reboot required.

But the data plans are too expensive. These data plans, small businesses that are travelling abroad or inland cannot afford these expensive data plans. I’m going to return my GlocalMe g4pro soon. The worst part about these data plan is when you start to stream YT and other streaming platforms, that’s when it starts to eat up your data plan.

I have only used this for about 6 weeks while camping in remote locations in Alberta but when my samsung phone had 'no bars' for cell phone coverage / Internet access this device did. I have used this now on 4 camping trips and even at a 2 bar signal I can connect 2 cell phones and 2 laptops, remote access into other computers, and run webinars remotely. I have a pay as you go plan but so far it has been very good. Highly recommended compared to use Canadian cell phone carriers. One thing I did notice is the cell phones connected burn more data than my laptop doing emails and watching movies. I turn the device off at night to reduce my data burn rate.
