I use this item to supplement my workouts. My free weights and benches are in the basement so I use this upstairs when passing by it. After a year, this device is still going strong. It's meant to be used in certain ways that are easy to follow and maximize it's purpose. I read stories of guys blowing the unit out. I can only think that would happen if the intent is there to do so. I get a good workout from it. When using it, I get a strange inner body tickle. There's nothing wrong with that though. The fad may have past on this piece of equipment but I'm glad I bought it.

Just got this and it does work as it claims... I can feel the muscle groups it claims to work... The workout DVD is very simple and easy to follow . I was not able to complete on of the timed excercise yet fell right back into the following excercise... Expect to complete that as time goes on.... An excellent product for one who is not sure where to start or with what...! Follow the simple directions , take care to match positioning of product with trainer , to avoid improper use and possible damage done to muscles, tendons etc.... It is a very easy product to familiarize yourself wih....I am looking forward to the results expected and claimed ....

The product is great! The seller not so much. I ordered and paid for the MEN'S shake weight but received the WOMEN'S. Not happy. I read that it happened to others as we'll so I guess I should have expected it.

Don't get me wrong, these got me sore and they were difficult to use. I got tired after just a little bit of using them. With that being said I followed their regimen, a little more than it said, for a solid month and saw little to no gain/tone improving. I went and got a normal dumbbell(20 lbs) and over two weeks spent the same amount of time and energy. I saw noticeable difference in toning(just a lil size growth).......so stick to real weights!!

It doesn't recoil as much as I'd like to get a maximum result. I used this to increase the size and stamina of my stabilization muscles and this has vastly improved my tone and ability to stabilize weights without my arms wobbling. Overall is a great 10 minute jolt to the system , makes you break a sweat if you follow the regimine. 3 stars because it is adjustable , just not enough

I like the shake weight. It gives a great burn when working out, and I feel sore after, but not too sore! It comes with a great fast 6 minute workout video which helps you stay on track. Can't wait to see results!

I'm so glad I bought this. I'm a middle age female and I have been losing a lot of weight. As I would lose weight, I noticed that all my flesh felt like jello. I had biceps and triceps that felt like mush. I bought this for a work out on my arms. Now I can actually feel muscle in there. I will be sure to continue this routine on a daily basis. I feel like it has been strengthening my back too which is an unexpected benefit.

I needed an upper body workout and if you don't bother with trying to figure out the settings on the item for timing etc. it is fairly easy to work. Not sure why you need a timer or mode, whatever that is???? Just watch the video which helps everything make sense and do the exercises demonstrated. Just learn about changing the tension and you don't need the timer.
