A: It must be a miss print.  It doesn't need batteries.

**Q: Does it comes deflated ?**
A: Yes, balls always ship deflated.  Shipping companies don't like to handle pressurized objects of any kind.  Also, all balls from $15 trainers to $120 international match balls will lose air over time and need to be topped up.
