Disney Honey Lemon Big Hero 6 Deluxe Girls' Costume

Our kid is very happy with this Honey Lemon costume from Big Hero 6. Sleeves are built into the dress, tights are separate. Face mask has an elastic strap. Armor Velcros to the dress. She's a size 6, we ordered the 7-8, looks like it's true to size. We're going to cut the clear plastic face mask so it doesn't fog up from breathing. Also, the purse is on a Velcro strap and does not open. She wants to put her candy in it so we're going to modify that a bit too.

This will work only because I needed a outline of the costume. The helmet is absolutely ridiculous. I've already put this piece in the trash. The purse is completely flat so I had to make a rip in it to stuff it so it would actually look like a purse. It sizes rather large. Order a size down to fit. I plan on attaching small ball pit balls to the purse because they aren't raised at all like they show in the picture. If you don't plan on putting in a good bit of extra work yourself on this costume, don't buy it!

It's a kids halloween costume, so it was exactly what I expected it to be. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see the mask has a plastic part that covers the face & that the "balls" on the purse strap are printed on, rather than real balls. It is hard to tell that the purse comes flat & empty, but I've bought enough costumes to know that it would. I'm going to either cut a slit at the top & turn it into a trick or treat bag or cut a small hole at the bottom & stuff it, then sew it back up. Also going to add some glow in the dark stickers on the heart part to make it look more like buttons on a screen. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the straps on the mask are quite high up, only about 2 inches from the top. My 2 year old is being Hiro & his mask is very similar to this one, but the straps are set in the middle of the mask. I'm assuming they put the straps higher up on Honey Lemon's mask as to not mess with the kid's hair, assuming the child would be wearing their hair down? It does stay better if I part my daughter's hair horizontally across the back, putting the strap there & covering it with the top part of her hair. But if it's in the wrong spot, then her hair has a funny bump in it, so I'm going to add another strap farther down on it. Alittle bit of work, but like I've said, I've bought enough costumes to know there is always something we don't like & will need to fix =)

This costume is very well made, which completely surprised me! The tights are real tights, not something cheap that your fingers go through. The dress is well made with an actual hem! The top/overlay red part is a flimsy fabric but I like that because it makes it easy to move around. The ONE NEGATIVE I have to say about this is that the messenger bag stays flat. I assumed it would open and maybe close with velcro?! No, it just stays smashed flat. Thankfully my MIL is super handy and she was actually able to put a zipper in the top!

I’m glad I read reviews before ordering so I knew what to expect. The tights are great - my daughter will probably wear them with dresses after Halloween! The rest of it is what you’d expect for a mass-produced costume: okay materials and construction. I did cut the clear part of the mask off to allow for easier breathing and sight. Also, our mask arrived cracked, but my daughter insisted she didn’t care, so we didn’t file for a replacement. Fingers crossed that my superglue hack does the trick!

Not made very well at all, mask was not as pictured it had a clear plastic covering the face without a way to breathe. So of course it stayed fogged up the entire time. Outfit was all Velcro that didn't stick well. The purse was fake no opening at all and smashed in so since no opening you could get it to expand out in the dented in areas. Very disappointed !!

Purchased for my grand daughter age 8. She loved it!
