WOOOWW! So sharp! Lightweight handle and this size blade is more manageable than a bigger chef knife for women or those with declining strength. Will definitely get more sizes from this brand. Purchased because ATK said it was their preferred chef’s knife for years. It’s a workhorse!

Admission: I'm a knife geek. But, I grew tired of hand washing my higher end knives. So, I bought this. It's unbelievably sharp, making precise, easy cuts. And it is dishwasher safe. Highly recommend.

Wouldn't really call this a chef knife, but it's an excellent petty/utility knife. Thin, somewhat flexible but rigid enough to handle hard fruits/veg easily, very sharp, and easy to sharpen. I love it!

If I only had one kitchen knife this might be it. I have many others but this one is a nice size that can do most things pretty darn well.Gave one to a friend, he thought that was an odd gift, put it up and didn't try it for almost a year, finally he needed a sharp knife for some ribs and remembered the one I gave him, he said it was a eureka moment when he realized why I had given it to him. He also realized that he had never actually owned a sharp knife until then, at 62 years old. He loves it now.It holds an edge very well.The handle is superb, doesn't get slippery, big enough for my hands and small enough for our daughters.Blade is more flexible than the 8" version (which I also have and highly recommend and gift) but that works well for many things as well.It really is an awesome knife.

I have many knives but I now find myself reaching for this one the most. 4 stars rather than 5 only because, while it comes very sharp, it does require more honing than some of my other knives. As long as you keep it honed, it is an excellent knife.

I tend to collect "kitchen" knives and have a number of them from Wusthof to the less expensive brands. I have the 8" version of this knife which is well respected in the culinary world. I wanted a shorter version and this knife does not disappoint. It like its big brother has many positive reviews and it is particulary comfortable in my large hands. Well worth adding to any kitchen knife collection.

I've owned the 8" Victorinox Fibrox-handle Chef's knife for close to 10 years and love it. Several years ago I noticed that there was a 6" version available. Put it on my reminder list at about $25 at that time. This year it seemed like time to purchase. With fluctuating tariffs, the price has jumped around and increased between 33% and 300+%, so I've been waiting for it to get back into the $35-40 range. Several weeks ago I jumped on it.So, as others have said, the blade is thinner than on the 8" version, so I won't be tackling any winter squash. But is has been great for slicing and chopping salad veggies, including peppers, carrots, celery, cucumbers, etc. AND, if is wonderful for slicing and chopping tomatoes. Didn't have to pull out the serrated knife which has been the norm for me for decades. It feels very comfortable in my hand. Since I'm an oldie goldie, all the power is coming from the knife and not my hand. Haven't had to use my 8" knife at all this past week.So right now, I'm in love with this one too, within limits of what I've tried it on so far.

Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem Victorinox Messer. Es ist sehr scharf, liegt angenehm in der Hand und macht das Schneiden von Gemüse, Fleisch und anderen Lebensmitteln sehr einfach. Die Qualität ist, wie man es von Victorinox erwartet, wirklich gut. Auch nach häufiger Nutzung ist es noch sehr scharf. Für diesen Preis absolut empfehlenswert – würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen!
