BOMBAX Men Travel Jacket 10 Pocket Zip Up Hoodies Sweatshirt Pillow Eye Mask

So I've had the Baubax original as will as the Scottevest ultimate hoodie, and I'm comparing this BOMBAX brand jacket to those.After my Baubax disappeared at a show I needed to order a replacement and saw this and the Ayegear plus the XYZ derivative. I thought I'd try this since it had free returns etc.I will base my review on the differences between this and the Baubax mostly.So, what you're probably more interested in:- Fits a TAD large. I got a Medium size, and the baubax I had before was slightly smaller, and stretched out over the 6 month period I had it to fit perfectly.-/+ Material is thicker than the Baubax or Scottevest, and the jacket is warmer.- This jacket has an additional pocket with velcro flap on the left arm. Makes the left arm look more bulky than the other side, and makes the whole jacket look like it fits funny.+ This jacket also has two skinny and long (8") "pen" pockets along the zipper line where the hand pockets are.+ This jacket has a much larger 'ipad' pocket. Will fit my 12" Samsung windows tablet, but just barely and that makes the jacket hang funny.+ The drop down eye mask on this hood is longer and thicker, completely covers my face.+ The interior of this jacket is VERY soft, but smooth material.+/- This jacket is BLACK (Baubax was only available in charcoal)+ Overall pockets on this jacket are slightly larger all the way around than the Baubax- Neck pillow isn't quite as 'wrap around' as the baubax one was, and will be even more unlikely to stay in the neck pocket area of the hoodie when deflated.- included stylus pen zipper pull thing is not quite as nice as the retractable pen that comes with the baubax, but then again I replace those anyway with space pens and tiny flashlights.Ok, essay roundup:Negative impresions:Because of the thicker material, I will probably wear this less around the home office. It's just a little too warm. Will still probably be great for travelling. Also, you will notice that this jacket is pretty heavy even (by comparison to the other jackets) when empty. It doesn't affect wearability in my book. Because of the thicker material, all of the zipper and pocket edges stick out a little more than the baubax. Overall the jacket is less slick and more obvious that it's a 'utility jacket' than the baubax or certainly the scottevest. I used to travel with by baubax under another jacket so I could shed layers more easily, but this will be too thick.The weird pocket on the arm makes the jacket look a little lopsided and because the jacket overall is slightly larger the sleeves are more 'bunchy'.The neck pillow was blue and didn't match (doesn't really bother me) and it did come with the quick inflate/deflate nozzle that the baubax had. Unforuntately the 'arms' of the neck pillow aren't as long and don't go as far around the neck making the pillow less secure. Honestly a cinch strap of some kind would be ideal, but maybe I'm just a masochist in this regard.I'll try and get some pictures of how it fits and update this review. I am 5'4" and 170lbs with a 44" chest and 32" waist. I have a shorter than average torso, but this jacket seems to be normal for it's length. sleeves are a touch too long for my taste, but most sleeves are. I usually just fold up the cuffs anyway as I prefer the heel of my hand exposed when I'm inside, and then can roll it down when it gets cold or whatever.Positive impressions:Holy mackeral the inside of this is SOFT.exterior shell material seems slightly more cat-hair resistant.it's warmer if that's your thing.Giant hood that is very comfy, with the face cover folded up is still big eoungh to keep warm and see around you what's going on. Deploy the 'blast shield' and it's sleepy time for sure.It costs waaay less than the baubax. As someone who tends to lose jackets like these in green rooms and parties, I can appreciate not spending quite as much.

The neck pillow is not attached or attachable to the jacket, as advertised. This was the big advertised distinction between this and every other travel garment. The fit is horrible. The chest measurement is accurate, but the sleeves and waist are tight, as if they were skimping on fabric. Not all of the pockets have zipper closures as to not have items secure during running the coat through the airport X-Ray machine (which is crucial for a travel jacket). The negatives far outweigh the positives when comparing this to my $20 travel vests.

I love this jacket! I'm going to be traveling quite a bit this summer, so it'll be handy to have. I got a men's large, and it is oversized on me (I usually wear a women's large), but not overly so. It is roomy, comfortable and very practical. It even has a little hidden cleaning cloth attached in a pocket to clean my glasses on the go. Love it!

This isn’t even what I ordered. It is all shiny windbreaker material and a completely different design. I wanted something replace my Baubax hoodie and this was the closest thing I could find that wasn’t over $100 but now have to return because this isn’t even what I ordered. Who tf even wears windbreakers anymore?? I’m so mad right now

Purchased for the hidden neck pillow for traveling. After checking the measurements, I ordered the men’s large and it was perfect! I normally wear a women’s USA XL because I like a loose fit. But I had to return the Jacket because the hidden pillow was missing. I check all ten pockets!

Overall fit and quality is good.+ One jacket you ever need in a polar expedition+ Fit as expected+ Many good sized Pockets- Way TOO THICK and WARM... IMO not suitable for indoor temperature controlled environments/inside a plane, bus, car or train- The zippers are a concern for me... too small... i'm afraid it might break- The neck pillow can not be secured/attached to the jacket - a button/ fastener will do... a miss opportunityI will keep the jacket, not perfect, but performs as advertised.

I read that others thought the jacket was too small so I ordered an extra large. I wouldn’t say I’m a big guy but this thing was way too tight in the arms and across the back. Love the design and concept but fitment is another story.

DONT GET THIS ITEM. I got the small more like xl. It gets way to hot and you be sweating a lot and it comes with a couple of pockets. The neck pillow doesn’t detach or attach to the hoodie it’s just a pillow. Extremely heavy and droopy. The iPad pocket can’t even fit a regular iPad. All around a very bad jacket. Don’t get.
