Shift Cable Replace Arctic Cat 0487-089 Wildcat Trail Sport XT SE LTD 2014-2017

working great, will be ordering another for a spare. the factory cable snapped 10 months after I bought it and the factory replacement did last 3 years.

This was a perfect size for our 2014 Wildcat Arctic Cat Trail, fairly easy to install. I used the pin on the backside from the old part because it felt like a better fit to me, but I kept the pin it came with as backup.

Didn’t even last a month. We haven’t even took it out riding and broke just going around the building. Would not suggest.

Just too small for which I need. Can't find my parts anywhere so tried alternate options. Maybe some measurements for those in my shoes, to skip the hassle of buying and trying

They are just what I needed as the project I am working on do NOT work at all with the originals. Retro fitting a different engine into a difference make vehicle is sometimes over whelming.

We have to keep one of these spares on hand at all times for our 2012 Wildcat- they snap all the time, poor design by Arctic Cat.

First impressions before installing we're that it was very much like the original but wasn't as smooth as I had hoped. The big difference was the flat was missing on the two nuts end that I put on the shifter side. I had to file flats in the threads to get it into the bracket. The transaxle side had the flat and fit fine. This turned a half hour job into an hour job for me. The other slight differences were the eyelet bushings seemed to be a little cheaper made and the eyelets were slightly thinner on the OD. In effect, less material and maybe weaker. I broke the old one due to it being so hard to shift and tried to force it. Bent the shifter bracket slightly as well. I found out my clutch wasn't completely released and need to be cleaned really good. Just belt dust buy still caused it to bind just barely. Now it shifts great! The cable works very well but I will go back to OEM next time. It's only $10 more from the online parts house with slower shipping of coarse. But less than $60 I could have gotten the exact for and quality I wanted. I am still satisfied with this one for now.

This product was just as the description stated. Easy install , perfect fitment
