Best comfort for your dog!
After seeing our poor dog suffer for weeks with the plastic cone collar, I was determined to fine a better solution. I am thrilled to say that this was a blessing for our dog and us. This is so easy to put on and off and our dog was finally able to sleep comfortably at night with this collar on. It was almost like sleeping on a pillow. Depending on the size of your dog's nose, they can reach the back hip area if they are not monitored. Our dog is part beagle and dachshund. They main draw for this collar is the ease of getting it on and off and the comfort for the dog, both of which were very important to me. I do recommend this over the other options out there.

Don't waste your money!
The idea of this collar is great. However, it is incredibly cheaply made. I should have realized that when they included patching material, it meant it was flimsy and wouldn't hold up to normal usage. The collar itself has a printed message to only inflate half-way - supposedly for the dog's comfort. I'm guessing it's actually because the seams aren't strong and can't handle much pressure. Within days, the velcro closure patches started coming off and I had to glue them back on. But then the collar deflated and even though I thought I'd found the source of the leak and patched it, it still wouldn't stay inflated. I continued to find pinhole leaks, used more patching material, and still couldn't fix it. So it's in the trash now. A complete waste of money. If you want to use an inflatable collar, get one that has an inner tube and a strong outer tube to protect it. This collar simply doesn't hold up.

I love the BooBooLoon!
Our dog has worry spots that she constantly licks and keeps raw. We're always having to tell her no to get her to stop. We finally decided to find a collar that will prevent her from reaching the spots. But she's got ambling neck and long legs. So most weren't wide enough to do the job. We were afraid we would need to purchase the "cone of shame". But I decided to try this one. It's light. It doesn't hinder her vision. And she's able to sleep with it like a pillow. Even if it gets punctured, it is still far less expensive than vet bills and medication and I would definitely buy another. It's great!

Much better than the "cone of shame"
I purchased a medium boobooloon for my cairn terrier. She is able to walk around, sit, eat and drink when wearing the inflatable collar. She is unable to reach her paws or her tummy (where she had a surgical incision). She was a bit annoyed with it at first. I put it on her and had her wear it for about 5 minutes. Then later put it on her and had her wear it for 10 minutes. Within a couple of minutes of the second wearing, she figured out she was not getting out of it and she just started acting normal. She was much less disoriented with the bbl than with the cone the vet put her in. I will definitely use the bbl in the future--it seems much more humane than the cone. Note: I did have to inflate it with an air compressor, could not blow it up manually.

Just read the instructions, do not over inflate
This is soooooo much better than the long hard cone. The BooBooloon works well. I got assistance from Marcy at the company who gave me some tips to make a good fit for my dog. I think if anyone needs this type of product should go with this brand. Product support is there for you. ..........and of course Amazon delivers! I put a picture of my dog on this page..she has short legs but we made it work!!!! Thanks BooBooloon!!!!

Not for active dogs or dog with "siblings"
This showed up Saturday at 10 AM and it was destroyed by 6 PM. First, when I put the collar on, I noticed that the Velcro that holds the collar shut didn't seem to attach very well because the matching edges are not flat. Shortly, as I watched our dog, I noticed that the collar was not big enough to prevent him from reaching his wound, but maybe it slightly more difficult for him.We have a five-month old lab who had just been neutered and a 14-month old girl lab. I sent them outside to do business. When I checked on them 5 minutes later, they were playing with the popped balloon collar.I don't see how this collar is supposed to stay on, prevent the dog from reaching wounds, and survive for the ten days that my vet said he needed it, even without another dog in the house.
