Do you have to remove the shiny bit before applying to the wound or is it there to stop the rest of the dressing adhering to the wound? Thanks

No you don’t remove the shinny surface that’s the side that goes on the wound to stop the dressing adhering to the wound, but if it does become stuck ie on a bloodied wound, then just soak off with warm salt water.

These dressings look out of date, please confirm?

Can’t remember when I ordered these - maybe 2 months ago & they all have an expiry date of 11/26 on them.

No, they are not adhesive, just a soft padding for wounds. You can purchase surgical tape to secure the dressings.
