Does this product fit for a mk7 gti/golf or only mk6 and below?

it not fit for mk7 gti, but fit for mk6 and below

Will these get hot enough to potentially melt the bumper? I had this issue on another set from Racing Dash

I installed them in a vw beetle and so far I haven't seen anything melted, they work well for me. I don't know about other buyers.
