Fellowes AutoMax 600M 2-in-1 Heavy Duty Auto Feed Commercial Paper Shredder with Micro-Cut, Black

It’s quiet, energy-saving, and it sheds multiple sheets of paper. I don’t have to stand there feeding one sheet of paper at a time. I love the micro-cut, so far no jamming, easy to use, the size is right fits almost anywhere under a desk, beside the desk or table, in a corner. up again the wall, etc. As far as overheating I haven't had any problems yet. Fellow makes a good product. I love it. The price is worth the money and besides my personal information is shredded into pieces. That's a good thing.

I have owned several different shredders. My last one was a Fellowes. Since the thing lasted so many years, I decided on another Fellowes, though this one is an upgrade. Wow. I am fully impressed. The automatic document feed makes shredding large volumes easy. I am shredding so much more quickly than before. The microcut makes me feel more secure about the paper waste; no one will want to put these confetti back together. I haven't shredded credit cards, but I did put in paperclips (manual feed). Most of my statements came folded in envelopes and are not flat when unfolded. The automatic feed took care of them. When the bin is full, it tells me. I just pull it out and empty; the top does not need to be lifted. It ran for quite a long time before overheating. We just have to let it rest for half an hour and then it's ready to roll again. This was a great purchase. I would buy it again.

This shredder is very good, but there's nothing perfect in this price range. The auto-feeder is fantastic. It does require all staples and paper clips to be pulled, but even so, it's a much faster process then single feeding 10-14 sheets at a time. Even with the staples pulled, it still tries to pull in several pages at once. Sometimes they go through, and sometimes they jam; but even with the occasional jams, it's still a much faster process. Unfortunately, it's the speed that points out it's biggest defect. The bin size is way too small for the speed. The number of times necessary to empty the bin is the bottleneck in the process. Our other 14 sheet shredder has a bin a third larger, but it takes forever to fill because it's hand fed. If I could somehow merge the two, this would be a five star shredder.

I have had my Fellows shredder for quite some time now, but I just decided to give it a review. We installed it in our home office and we really can't imagine not having it. So many items you just don't want to just tear something up and this shredder really does the job. I can either use the automatic feeder and place a stack of papers in it or use the single sheet feeder and place up to 5 sheets; but either way, the job gets done. I love it and give it a 5.

Good security. Small cross shredding. I particularly like the feed option. I can put a stack of items in and just ignore it while it shreds. So far, very reliable.

Brand new, out of the box 100 sheet auto-feed and it did not work at all. I plugged it into different outlets, still didn’t work. I purchased it for a huge project and I waited until it was time to start the project to try it out. I turned it on and I got nothing. A faint blue light flickered for just a second. I purchased it online. I attempted to start a return but the return by date had passed. I called customer services and explained I could not afford to absorb a loss of $303 for something that never worked. They charged me a restocking fee and will refund $242. I am not happy! I purchased this FELLOWES shredder to replace a FELLOWES that stopped working for no apparent reason. I will NEVER purchase a FELLOWES shredder again! Actually, I give it zero stars!

While this shredder works beautifully for 15 minutes or so, it overheats quickly and takes much longer than the stated 45 minutes to cool. I have had to wait as long as two hours for it to start working again.

I've bought 3 shredders from Fellowes and loved each one. They do manufacture the best on the market, long lasting. Since the Micro Shredder came out it's the only one I would buy. Can't put the pieces of paper back together.

Delivered quickly, extremely well packaged including original manufacturer box, registration card, etc. Sturdy machine, rolls smoothly on castors, small enough to tuck out of the way under our counter when not using. We used this machine a LOT over the first 48 hours to catch up on our shredding, and did not get a single jam. The machine is so quiet, the crinkling paper is actually the louder sound! 100 page auto-feed capacity is very convenient. The pull-out bin for emptying is brilliant. Micro-cross-cut makes the shred pile very compact and increases our confidence regarding security of sensitive documents. One of the best investments to date for our small medical clinic.
