I'll admit i was a little unsure of how well the fit and finish would be on such a cheap mount, but boy was i glad to find this and save a load of cash on the competition. To start, it comes in very basic packaging with no instructions. I bought this as a backup mount for my volunteer search and rescue kit mounted to our black diamond climbing helmets. The screws worked perfectly for this application but will not work on any kevlar helmets as the screws are too short. The optic arms fit very snug and have ZERO movement providing a stable platform to view from.

Fits my ProTec A-bravo helmet that was predrilled for a 4 hole Norotos mount. The holes were just slightly off but it went together fine after a minute of messing with it. It also fit my real Rhino 2 mount just fine. Slightly snug but perfect. We will see how long the material holds up to repeatedly taking it on and off since I have multiple helmets.

Pros: It’s great for the price! And it was easy to install and so far it’s holding up under use :) Cons: (more fyi’s) it’s VERY dark green and it comes with very short bolts… clearly for bump helmets… NOT ballistic helmets. I used my own as shown and it worked great!

Doesn't fit standard issue US NVG mounts. Tried 3 older and one newer mount just to be sure. Feels sturdy, but is cast, stamped or milled incorrectly so the mount space is too small to actually mount anything. Requested return, they accepted and told me to just keep it. Moral of the story...even Amazon doesn't want this piece of crap, but they'll sell it to you if you're dumb enough to buy it.

Item seems to be of good quality. However, if you have a ACH helmet this is not the shroud you're looking for. Twice now they have sent me the wrong size screws. There are supposed to be 6 screws (3 short for bump helmets and 3 long screws for thicker ballistic helmets). Both times they sent me 6 short screws. Save yourself a trip to UPS and order else where.

Delivered on time, looks like picture and fits perfectly on the helmet. Well worth the price. Works like the Ops Core version, good quality on the metal part. Color matches my helmets paint color.

This NVG shroud mounts securely and sits firmly on the helmet without wobbling. The metal feels durable, and the screw pattern lines up cleanly for easy installation. It’s a straightforward replacement or upgrade for helmets that need a solid mounting platform.

Wanted to get rid of my plastic mount for more strength and this does the trick. Fit perfect and the screw heads are larger But, I used the original screws that are a "CAP" screw and "ALLEN" heads. The screws that come with this are "STAR" screws that have a counter sink head which does not fit as well as the original screws. My helmet does not have counter sink holes.

Fit the night vision goggle well

We got some cheap nvgs that are heavy, this holds it up. I do wish the screws were a bit bigger but it's 10 bucks.

The shroud is too large, it did not hold my Wilcox G24 securely. Refund was quick and easy.
