I bought them for a disabled client. He has no issue gripping them, they are a nice size for adult hands. Sound is not too loud. They've been dropped a few times, held up well.

It was smaller than I anticipated it will be.. the picture appeared to be bigger but its fine.. its not noisy… very portable for travel… nice color, maybe too expensive fOr its heaviness.

The one that wasn’t broken sounded pretty good. That’s worth 4 stars. The sound is lead beads. The heads are the size of a chicken egg which surprised me since it is advertised as an adult instrument. My preference is the size of a baseball or slightly larger. The sound I prefer is sand. Swishy as opposed to beads.

These are well-made in terms of durability, and thus are a decent value. The hard plastic makes for a very noisy, hard-to-control sound that isn't very warm or musical so much. You can control that with technique and it may work better in a loud environment though - so not all bad, just loud and lots of "sliding around" inside that is quite loud due to the hard plastic.

They are easy to hold with the handle and strong enough if you drop them they do not break. Good for a child or adult.

These maracas are great for younger students. The grips are sturdy and easy to hold. The finish has, so far, held up to CDC recommended cleaners. My PreK students enjoy the sound they produce. The maracas produce a medium sound that is louder than sand filled maracas but is not harsh.
