Akust 3.5 Inch to 5.25 Inch HDD Front Bay Bracket Adapter (Surface Blemish)

Very Poor Quality - Watch Out!
Purchased this to install two 3.5 drives into a 5.25 bay slot. Was able to get the adapter attached to the drives, but as soon as I gently slid the adapter into the case, two of the rubber pieces popped off. All that is holding the rubber pieces on is a small washer that is embedded into the rubber. Any movement of the rubber and those washers pop out. There is no way I am trusting this adapter to hold two drives in any case, much less my beloved Unraid server.

I had to make some mods to my Grandia GD05 case but that is not the fault of Akust but rather Silverstone. All Silverstone needed to do was make the 5¼" Drive bracket about ¼" deeper and the two 3½" drives would have fit perfect. As far as this drive adapter goes, it worked perfectly holding two drives and fit nice and snug in the drive bracket after I cut the bottom out of the bracket so the drives would not obstruct the case lid.

Great if you know they are what is needed
Exactly what I needed. If you have vertical space but don't have a case with shelves to separate HDDs this is what you need! I have a new coolermaster which only had spots for 2 HDs. This allowed me to stack 3.5in HDs on top of on another instead of having to purchase external drives.

Rubber post is removeable
I bought these for the ability to stack HDDs only. They are fine for that. Rubber posts ARE removeable with a small phillips screw on the back side holding them in.
