BridgedaleEXPLORER Heavyweight Merino Comfort Boot Socks

Bought two pairs of size M, one lightweight and one midweight, and they both fit perfectly on my size 6.5 feet. I took the midweights out on a 7.5km walk and it made my experience in leather boots so much more comfortable, providing great cushioning and keeping everything nice and dry! I've never purchased more expensive socks like these before, and I can see why merino wool socks have been touted as worth the extra price.When I got home, I checked my socks to see how they held up and I noticed some loose threads (second photo) and I was pretty sure they weren't caused by my boots or washing, given I hadn't washed them yet. So I emailed Bridgedale's customer service with photos asking about it and they responded very promptly asking for more detailed photos of the whole sock, which I then provided. The customer service handler discussed with colleagues and identified where the defects may have come from (being snagged in the store, etc) and they provided me a replacement pair completely free of charge! Bought these socks for long distance walking 600+ miles. My feet are size 9.5 and I normally wear an 'inner sock' but even with Bridgedale socks that go to size 11 I found them too tight in my size 10.5 walking boots. Will have to dispense with much loved inner socks.

Will last for years

I wear a pair of these socks almost every day and all day under wellies for gardening. They last around three years before they start to wear through, so I rate them as excellent value for money (this is my fifth pair). They fit my size 9 feet well and are comfortable.
