This is a great buy. I had a 1k gyre on a smaller tank (6ft 125) and really liked it, even though it was a little loud. Got this pump for an upgrade to a 210. I have this on one wall and an ecotech MP40 on the other side. It’s super quiet and gives great flow along the top of the tank. Between the two pumps I rely on the icecap for the bulk of the flow. It’s almost too strong for zoas and other lps. The control through the app is head and shoulders better than ecotech’s option. All and all, great value, great pump!

I really wanted to like the Gyre, but after spending a day trying to get it connected to my WiFi i decided to send it back. First, I have a mesh WiFi system (Orbi) that floods my house with signal. My Apex and Dosing pump (wifi) never have an issue. The IceCap 4k would connect for 5 minutes then drop off, never to connect again. I would power cycle the pump and it would connect, then minutes later the connection light would be blinking. The Hydros app only shows the 'pumps' when you are using the 'cloud/wifi' setting. You can switch over to Bluetooth and connect to the controller but you can't configure the pumps (only basic controller settings like its name). If you are lucky enough to get it connected to WiFi the setup is confusing and not very logical. (no manual, just a QR code that takes you to their webpage... a few of the 'how-to' links give you 404 errors). Hopefully, they can fix the WiFi issue and improve the app. I love the idea of using one controller for 2 pumps. PS. I returned the unit and purchased a different brand of WiFi Gyri. It latched onto my network and hasn't had any connection issues.

The only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is because it is pretty tricky to setup and program your different flow patterns. Other than that's it's a super powerful, well built product. You will definitely need to watch afew youtube videos to figure out how to set it up.

This is perfect for my 25 reef tank.. Only issue is, how to program a schedule. I’m probably gonna have to reach out to the manufacturer to get that information.

I had the older model so I already knew I wanted the 4k ! I’m definitely not happy with the app but I have no issues are all connecting and running the pumps through the app.. More than enough power I do think it’s a bit expensive but I got the 2 of them and I’m very happy with them !!

I hate to put this review up considering i really like the ice cap. How this "new" generation is NOT worth the time or the money! The pump itself is basically the same as before however as with all other reviews the wifi option is TERRIBLE! i suppose the algorithms we coded by a junior high student. Too confusing and too time consuming watching youtube videos on how to figure it out. They should have left good enough alone! this unit is a total disappoint from start to finish.

Fast delivery, another great ICECAP product. I just ordered a 2Kto go along with the K4. I think the android app is a bit confusing but once you go to the steps in the online manual, it is fairly easy.
