This is my second time purchasing this product and I honestly could not be happier.This car safety hammer should be standard in all vehicles. It's a small, well built, efficient tool that gives peace of mind when you're on the road. You can never predict a situation that will put you in danger. Must have for every auto emergency kit.This car escape tool is small and can easily velcro into your car's spaces - door pockets, between the seats, alongside the driver's compartment.Ask anyone who work as a medic and they tell you that these have been known to save lives. The seatbelt cutter can help you if you get trapped after an accident and the window breaker part can help you smash the car window so you can escape quickly.I am really pleased that I chose this one over other car hammer because: The shape of the handle makes it easy to grasp & is sturdy. The blade is well hidden so you won't cut yourself. I like that the hammer head is flat on one end & pointed on the other. It's pointless to have dual points like other products. The pointed tip on this one has a rubber cap so it won't scratch your glove box.I am glad that I have two of them for a reasonable price and have stuck one under each front seat. Great bargain for the price (you're getting 2). I would tell all - BUY SEVERAL, give them as birthday gifts,family gifts, etc.

This is a very good quality products. I saw this demonstrated on the TODAY show earlier this week. The secret to breaking the window is that you need to hit the window in the LOWER CORNER rather than the center. The center is the strongest part of the glass, the corners are the weakest. If you hit the glass in the center, it's going to be very difficult to break the glass. Also, if someone is inside the car, hit the glass on the opposite side of the car (if possible) so the glass doesn't shatter on them. Keep this in the door pocket. If you put it in the glove box and the air bag goes off, you won't be able to get it out of the glove box.I purchased this because of all the little kids and pets that are getting locked in hot cars while their parents go shopping. If I see this, I know that I can help. What is wrong with these parents?

I have not had to use these but they appear to be pretty good. The metal window breaking top is fairly heavy and could easily be swung with enough force to break a window, even if the car is submerged in water. The seat belt cutter is very sharp as I sliced paper with it just to test the blade. It comes with a thin rubber safety cover for the metal tip but the rubber is so thin it might as well not be there. Also, the handle is put together with short screws that need to have Loctite or JB Weld put on the threads to keep it secured. Overall, tightening the screws and using Loctite/JB Weld to secure them and then finding a thicker cover for the tip and this will easily be a 5 star tool.

I just received my Car Safety Hammer set. I am very pleased. It is just the right size and fits my hand well. Since they are not too long, finding a suitable storage area is not a problem. I had looked at the key chain ones and was concerned that I would not be able to break the window. This "hammer" has a plastic cover over the point so that it will not scratch while being stored. I have already found a place in our vehicles to keep them. Hopefully, they will not need to be put to use.The seller was very conscientious. The shipment was a few days late in arriving. He was very concerned and contacted me. I have to say Kados to the shipper for his aggressive concern to make certain that he has a happy customer.

hello, to be used only in an emergency. the plastic cap on the pointy end protects other objects in your glove box or center console. it is small enough to hold in tiny hands, but you will have to swing with some power to break anything. hopefully, we will never have to use it, but living near water, it is a secure blanket ready to pop into action. it is something that should be in all cars from the beginning of ownership. sometimes, the seat belt does get stuck and sometimes, with electric windows in most cars, water makes that inoperable. but, safety and strength will need to be used in any emergencies. this tool will help if used correctly. yrmv be safe

I was surprised how quickly I got my order. I think every vehicle should have a safety hammer in it! I think it could really be a "life saver" without sounding redundant. And being a 2 pack deal! Who would pass this up? After seeing a TV segment of Myth Busters on how to escape a sinking vehicle I decided to find a safety hammer for my car. Hopefully, I'll never use it but I do feel safer. I am impressed with quality. they look and feel strong/sharp enough to hold and should do the work. I am really pleased that I have two of them for a reasonable price and have stuck one under each front seat.The seller sent promptly, well packaged, and a great price!!! This window breaking hammer and seat belt cutter is well made and I have no doubt that it would do just as described. It feels solid and durable.I know it doesn't take a great deal of force to smash a car side window, as almost all cars side windows are made of tempered glass which is designed to break up on strong impact. Front car windows are usually made of laminated glass which is much stronger than side windows.The safety hammer itself is bright orange or yellow, so it's easy to locate in a glove box. I hope I will never need it, but I think it is cheap insurance for something that may save lives.This safety tool is exactly what I wanted in my car for unexpected emergencies. A small price to pay for family safety!
