Born to Trot

My horse loving daughter adores this series.

I ordered this book because it was one I read when I was the age of my grandchildren. I specifically wanted the original cover (which was pictured on the purchase site). Imagine my surprise when the book came, not with the cover I wanted but with the newer version I could have bought at Barnes and Noble. Not happy!

Product arrived on time and in good condition.

I first read this book sometime in the early 1950's, and have re-read it every few years since then. I still have a tattered paperback that I bought my daughter long age. Being a typical horse crazy girl I read everything in the library about horses. This is really 2 books in one, based on true events. Any horse person who has not read this has missed something, big time!

A super book, any child who is facing a medical problem should have this to read, the boy in the book is facing one and has a very very happy ending, so it is up lifting and up beat, and still one may cry a few times when reading it. A very very good read, even for a book written 50+ years ago!!

Loved this as a kid and was elated to find it as an e-book. I have my hard copy, which I intend to keep. But, I like finding favorites on e-book.

I chose 5 stars because I really loved this book. Marguerite Henry is one of my 2 favorite authors ever, her and Erin Hunter. I highly recommend this book! :)
