This is a fine activity book--great for any horse loving child. It has a mix of coloring pages and activity pages with connect the dots, spot the differences, mazes, and word searches. The activities are all pretty simple (no giant complicated word searches or mazes, that's for sure.) Throughout the book, even on the coloring pages, there are informative blurbs about different aspects of horses and caring for horses (information on different breeds, things in a tack room, transporting horses, life stages of a horse, etc.) The coloring pages are simple horse centered scenes (usually with a descriptive sentence or two under the picture.)I got this for my horse and workbook loving 4 year old. He is a little young for many of the activities (though can do connect the dots and spot the difference with guidance--usually he just needs me to read the directions so he knows what to do.) He loves coloring the horse pictures. True, he'd get more out of it if he could read, but I think it's fine. Older children could easily do this book without any assistance or help from adults.Overall, I think it's a great product for an horse loving child you know.
