Tasteekakes review
I chose to order these tasty cakes from amazon because I figured I had less chance of being ripped off. When my order arrived I was a little disappointed that for 79 bucks plus 20 bucks shipping I got 34 dollars worth of merchandise. 30 tasty cake packages individually marked as $1.39 each. The description counts each individual snack not each package of 3 snacks. This is one item that I may have gotten a better deal ordering directly from the tasty cake company. I did not return the order because I had to have it for a birthday gift for a New Jersey native. The lady loved them and she shared with us. After all the hype about Tastykakes I can only say that they were good enough but not as great as I expected.

Great Product, Lousy Shipping
Tastykakes after all these years are still wonderful. How the West Coast gets along with Hostess products instead of these are a mystery to me. My complaint however is with the shipper. The products were not protected enough so that some of the pies were cracked and the krumpets were squashed. Also the description of the product says 2 day shipping is included in the price, but mine came by ground.

I sent these to a friend who has moved from the Philadelphia area where they do not sell TastyKakes. He was surprised and happy and to devour them!

Broken heart will never pay this price
I was born and raised in philly. I no longer live there and sometimes long for my native food, I love tastykakes! But this is american greed! The prices are ridiculous!! I wait for my children to come and visit and they always bring me tastykakes and scrapple because knowing the true price I refuse to pay 100% for a snack cake

When did they get so small
I live in Philly and love TastyKakes, well that is I used to. Now with the new owner the product is about half the size it used to be. You can't read it but right on the front of the box it says, "Picture enlarged". Enlarged? How about doubled in size. Really the cupcakes are now about an inch thick. Guess you have to make your investment back, but why not do what the ice cream company did make a galloon of ice crea 3/4 of a gallon or a pound of coffee 12 oz., not half the size? You can buy a cake for the price of two boxes and get five times the product.
