***10/13/17 Update! ***About a month ago, I was using this charger in my car, and after about 10 minutes of use, I picked up the phone (Galaxy S6) to check an address. My phone was hot, but I didn't think too much of it. Another minute later, I smelled smoke, and I glanced at the phone, and the charger was smoking! I jerked it from the outlet and my phone and threw it in the foot well. Then I pulled over and checked it out. The end, where it plugs into the phone, was burnt. So, I would say avoid this one, or, if you buy it, be very careful with it. I loved it, but I won't buy the same product again. It lasted 15 months with intermittent use. ***This is a great little charger! I shut my old car charger in the door of the car, rendering it useless. I love the straight retractable cord. It doesn't get tangled up in the strap of my handbag, or my key chain, because when I am done using it, the cable zips away. In fact, if you bump the button, it will zip away so fast it makes you jump! It fits in the both the car's port and the phone's port very tightly with an audible click. So glad I bought it!

This was/is an EXCELLENT product! I used this product on a daily basis for almost exactly a year before the product would no longer charge my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. This car charger was used every day and quite a bit of the time with more than one electronic attached to it. It charged any electronic that I needed very very quickly. The retractable cord was incredibly convenient as it allowed my car to have a neat look at all times when it was not in use. The low profile compact design of the charger did not take up a lot of room and I could easily use the things that were placed right around the lighter outlet. I don't normally write reviews but I was so pleased I immediately went back to see if they still had the product. It was then that I noticed it had offered a one year warranty which the company was great and stood by. Without delay they answered my email and shipped me a new one very promptly even though this one had been quite well used. WOULD FOR SURE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT and UTILIZE THIS GREAT COMPANY!!!

Does not have enough amps to keep up with a galaxy 9.7 S2 running GPS software continuously.Since this review was Published the manufacturer has contacted me and offered to replace my unit which they believe corrects the Low amperage issue. I did not have to contact them, they reached out to me. I consider that very good customer service. I look forward to the new unit and will report on its capabilities when it arrives.The new Unit Arrived early, It works fine, I tested under then same conditions as before and the tablet charges perfectly. I expected the charger to get warm but it did not during the 20 minutes I tested it. Good job Mosche

It is charging the computer. But it makes a bit of a buzzing noise, and it gets quite warm to the touch. I would not plug it in and walk away because I'd be worried about a fire. But as long as I keep an eye on it, I think it'll be fine. At the very least, it's charging the macbook.UPDATE: I'm changing this to five stars because we've continued to use it daily, and it is working great. We've had no issues. Highly recommend!

Great charger. I recently got an email from the manufacturer stating that if it was used with some Toyota SUV's, you have to unplug it when not in use to keep it from draining the battery. Honestly, it sounds like BS to me. I have an old Chevy pickup and it stays in the 12V port all the time and I have had no issues. It charges my Note 5 from about 20% to 80% in roughly 35 - 40 minutes. Phone gets a little warm, but far from hot.

This car charger is the neatest thing since sliced bread! the retractable cord is wonderful, I always had a problem with the long cord. This way I can connect the charger, depress the button to minimize he length and everything is nice and compact. If someone else needs to charge their unit while in use, they can extend the cord, and plug in. WORKS GREAT. I am going to buy these as stocking stuffers for everyone in the family and a few close friends.

Have only had this a few months, and just recently I have to mess with the cord multiple times to get it to "read" that it is connected to my phone - I got all the way to my destination before I realized my phone hadn't been charging the whole way, and had drained from using the GPS to 6% :(. I hate that products don't seem to be built to last these days. We have not been rough with this charger.

This charger is very sleek and convenient. I hate having a bunch of cords running through my truck so this was ideal. I have a Galaxy s7 and it charges it just fine. The cord retracts in nicely by the push of the small button to the left of the male end. I will be taking a road trip soon and putting it to the ultimate test. I did not give it five stars simply because I can not attest to how it will hold up over a longer period of time. However, my initial response is it is a good product and I would buy it again.
