Emtek Modern Rectangular Privacy Pocket Door Mortise Lock (Satin Nickel)

This product is very well designed pocket door hardware. I looked for quite some time at other options before i reluctantly made this purchase. Price seemed very high but I bought one and thoroughly inspected the way it was designed and built then installed it. It functioned great so i purchased a second one. This is hands down the best built out there and it looks great. This is one of those "you get what you pay for" products. I will say that the installation is not for the amateur, it will take some time to make the cuts and they should be done precisely and not in a hurry, but it is only done once and well worth the time and effort. It is the hardware that makes or breaks the pocket door and this is top notch. Highly recommend

I didn't like pocket doors, mainly because the pulls always are wimpy and difficult to use or fish out of the door. This is easy to grab whether you are opening or closing the door, it’s got a solid locking mechanism, and it just looks nice.

These are sturdy and well built. We recently installed (4) of them in some pocket doors we installed in a renovation for a client. They operate as expected and look much nicer than the standard inexpensive square option we have used in the past. The push button eject mechanism that operated the door pull works well. As expected, installation takes a bit longer due to the need for mortising the mechanism into the door.
