LimbSaverClassic Precision-Fit Recoil Pad for Synthetic Stocks

Bought this to replace the stock pad on an older Remington 700 270 WSM that was rotted out. It’s a little more expensive that I remember these being but what can you do. It fit perfectly, no adjustments needed. It’s comfortable and is holding up. My stock is synthetic.

Despite the product name, this is the same product as the Limbsaver Precision Fit Recoil Pad, which is printed on the packaging. It is an outstanding product--MUCH softer and more shock absorbing than the pad that comes from the factory on the Mossberg 590a1. I was getting a very mild soreness in my shoulders after putting 50 rounds at a time through my shotgun. It wasn't too bad, but this pad eliminated that. I could probably shoot 75 - 100 rounds now without becoming sore, and the recoil feels more muted. It's not an enormous improvement, but certainly noticeable enough to be a worthwhile upgrade.This part number (#10121) is the SMALLER of the two Mossberg-sized pads that Limbsaver makes. I had a full size synthetic stock, which would normally take the larger pad size. However, I wanted to reduce the length of pull for more comfortable shouldering of the weapon. I cut approximately one inch off the length of the stock in my table saw (using a 60 tpi fine cut blade). That shortened the length of pull nicely and reduced the end dimensions of the stock to 4-7/8" tall x 1-9/16" wide--EXACTLY the size the 10121 pad is designed to fit. Since I had cut off an inch of stock, I had to use an 1/8" drill bit to deepen the upper screw hole in the stock. I also had to drill a new lower hole (about 3/16" lower on the stock end than the factory hole). It worked great. I have a shorter length of pull and a much softer (Limbsaver) pad that fits so closely you would assume it came that way from the factory. If you look very closely at either side, there is about a fingernail's width of overlap where the stock is slightly wider than the pad for about 1-1/2" because the profile of the stock bulges just a bit more than the profile of the pad. It's so slight that even I--a confirmed perfectionist--am still totally pleased with the results.Simply put, it makes the entire shooting experience a little more comfortable.

Holy cow, This Limbsaver pad was made for the Remington 870 Marine Magnum. It fit it perfectly. I used the screws from the original pad which had actually melted. I guess from old age.Awesome shotgun, but the original pad just melted. This Limbsaver (Part number 10101) was not to hard to find, so that is why I specifically say it fits a 870 Marine Magnum. No sanding or grinding required, installs and fits perfectly.Enjoy, thanks

I love these pads, they do a great job. However, limbsaver is getting cheap and or lazy. They do NOT offer any attachment hardware (screws) whatsoever! The screws in the stock pad are stuck in there so tight, it's practically impossible to get them out so need to source new screws. Very disappointing!

While not a perfect fit, I was able to install on a CZ Swamp Magnum O/U. The slotted screw holes are maxed out to fit the 3.5" screw spacing on the CZ. The profile is a little undersized in two locations, but not by much. A good option for the CZ Swamp Magnum, as Limbsaver does not make one specifically for this shotgun.

Easy to install and was a perfect fit on my Remington SP-10. Looked just like the original.

I put the Limbsaver 10121 on a Mossberg 500 with a synthetic stock that was bruising my shoulder. It works. As for fit, I suggest the following procedure: Remove the factory pad. Trace the stock onto a piece of paper. Print the Limbsaver templates. Check that that the templates printed to actual size by measuring. Tape the template onto a sunlit window. Place the stock tracing over the template. Both lines will show. You can see how the shapes differ. With all the variations of a gun model over the years, it is near impossible to look up which pad will fit. Just looking at the length and width is not enough. Do a trace. This model of the Limbsaver was about 1/8” oversize on the upper 1/3 of the stock for this gun. The lower 2/3’s was a close fit. I’ll take function over beauty. Customer service was responsive too. You may have to dremel or file the screw slots a little. Great product.

I have an Air-Tech version of these on my 300 WIN MAG Tikka T3x, which makes a world of difference. I was afraid that the Classic version wouldn't be nearly as good, but was pleasantly surprised when I put one on a 12 Gauge. It's not quite as effective as the Air-Tech, but still makes a big difference and is leagues ahead of cheap slip-on recoil pads. Made the 12Ga comfortable to shoot, and my shoulder didn't start getting sore until some 20+ rounds of continuous shooting.In case anyone is wondering, the 10008 model will fit a Charles Daly 101 12Ga break-action shotgun. I couldn't find any info online and had to print the templates and compare. You will have to shave a bit of plastic off the inside rim on the recoil pad to get it to fit inside the stock, but once it's on, the pad fits like it's factory.

Awesome recoil pad, replaced the pad on a Benelli M4 which is like a hockey puck.This limbsaver requires a little modification to work on the M4 telescopic stock but it’s quite easy, just google it.Worth the money

These recoil pad fit real nice on Tikka T3X, nicer than on a T3. Just centre in around the edges and you will be really happy when you shoot it next time.

Works well. Helps reduce recoil. Was not an exact fit for my Remington 870
