Air Intake Filters for 2017 2018 2019 2020 Model 3, Cabin Air Vent Intake Filter with Activated Carbon

Must have if you wish to breathe clean intake air. Mine after 3-4mons comes out black of soot and dirt/dust. If not caught, you would be breathing it in or all that getting lodged somewhere in vents that will probably end up causing mold and mildew.

Tesla does not come equipped with this filter so the fitment isn't that spectacular but overall I think it will do a fantastic job filtering debris from the cabin. i will most likely purchase again

Filter for air intake is super easy to install, but might be too much filtration for some, because it limits the A/C output just a bit. The filters were a bit difficult to install in the cabin due to their thickness, but once in the right spot, they filter the air very well. Definitely worth the money & time spent installing. I'd def recommend them!

While this product is very well made, I CAUTION you about using this type of filter. First, Tesla didn’t put in an air intake filter for a reason. As you install it (which is very easy), you will notice a drain hole at the bottom that this filter doesn’t cover. When I put a piece of paper over the hole, it was sucked in with the air intake filter installed and wasn’t when it was removed. This means unfiltered air is coming from the road into the cabin, which is worse than unfiltered air coming in by the windshield. Second, this filter severely restricts the flow of air. You can have someone sit in the car and put the filter in and take it out, they will notice immediately how it restricts flow. I’m pretty sure this restriction caused my condenser to mold/mildew producing a stale odor in the car. There just isn’t enough air flow going over the coils to keep it dry, so it mildews. A Tesla forum indicated that leaves blocking the air flow will cause it to mildew, so it makes since that reducing the air flow with this filter will also cause it. Again, I have no issue with the quality of the filter. I just question the design and usage of it. I removed my air intake filter and purchased this companies HEPA filter to replace the Tesla cabin air filter. So far I have been pleased, but unsure if this will cause the same issue.

Very easy to install, slightly concerned about there being nothing really holding it in place so if there's any issues I'll update the review. Only other concern is if this filter can handle the damp and occasionally wet environment it's located in. Again, time will tell

The filter is a little bigger and I don't think the shape of air intake is not perfect rectangular to match the filter. I had to squeeze the corner in and I'm not sure if it's going to stay in. We will see in few month.
