This is my go-to oil filter for BMW oil changes. You really can’t go wrong with this brand—they’re made from good-quality materials and have been very consistent from one oil change to the next. Fit and performance have always been exactly what I expect. The included crush washer is an appreciated addition so that I don't need to create a separate order. Installation is a breeze as it simply slides in. The gasket for the oil filter housing appears to be made well and is also east to install. The only thing I wish is that the filter came with the O-rings for the piece that holds the filter in place inside the housing. Other than that minor detail, this is a reliable, high-quality filter that I’ll continue to use.

It's an oil filter .. what can I say? Fast delivery 4 stars because it should be way cheaper It's for a BMW so it's expensive .... should be about $5 to $6 ..... but it does come with a little crush washer for the oil drain plug

I purchased this oil filter for my 2004 BMW Z4 (E85/E86) in 2011. It lasted for years in conjunction with full synthetic oil, and I plan to purchase them in perpetuity. I do all of the maintenance on my Z4 myself because I want to save money and make sure that the job is done correctly. I went to my local dealership and was told by the parts department that the BMW OEM oil filter was this filter made by Mann. I confirmed this by going to a BMW forum. When I removed the old filter, it was a perfect match, even down to the numbers! If you are even remotely mechanically inclined, I would highly recommend attempting this job yourself. It can be done safely in your driveway or garage with simple tools and a good set of ramps. Replacement oil pan drain plugs are available as well. Your local autoparts store has the Castrol European Formula true full synthetic oil on sale every few months. If you are patient or plan ahead you can reduce the price of an oil change by 2/3 and be confident that the job was done correctly. Happy motoring!!
