Taping - Elastic Therapeutic Athletic Tape Tex Gold FP - Black – 2 in. x 16.4 ft - 2 Pack

My physical therapist taught me about this tape. Apparently, a lot of coaches use it to help their athletes keep playing when they have a minor injury. In my case, my right foot has a serious chronic orthopedic problem. I have to wear a foot brace on that account all the time. I wanted to start a program of water therapy but if I take the brace off, I am soon in pain. This Kinesio Elastic Therapeutic Athletic Tape Tex Gold tape provided a solution. I stretch this tape as I put it on and it holds my foot together without the brace. Moreover, it is waterproof. For me, the upshot is that it allows me to do the water therapy which has helped me a lot and and I can even do laps in the pool if I feel like it. I think this tape does as well as the brace in holding my foot together and its a lot less bulky. The tape is good for about three days after you put it on. Then it has to be replaced. There is one proviso. Before you put the tape on, you need to spray the area with Cramer Skin Taping Base (Tuf-Skin). That makes it adhere better. I don't know how well it would work without the taping base. Note, you don't use a lot of the taping base; just a little will do. In summary, this stuff works great for me. I have used this product personally and professionally in my studio for many years. I keep some in my car and I bring some when I travel. I’ve helped so many people over the years with minor injuries. It truly promotes healing as well as takes away pain. You just need to know how to put it on properly. I have some I’ve kept in my car exposed to heat, cold, dirt, moisture, etc but it still works great. A miracle product for active people

Stays on well! Hard to remove the glue residue from skin but I'd rather have this issue than it not supporting when used!

We researched Kinisio taping as a treatment for plantar fasciitis and various sports injuries. Because we were skeptical that this was just another treatment fad, we started out with Mueller tape because it was comparatively inexpensive and could be purchased locally. Once we realized how much taping helped, we were on a mission to find a better quality tape at a reasonable price. The fabric in the Kinesio Tex Gold is more refined than the Mueller and the pattern of the adhesive seems to allow for a better stretch. We may investigate waterproof brands this summer, but for now, this is more than adequate for daily plantar fasciitis support (pain reduced by about 50%) and ankle/foot support for Taekwondo. It typically stays on for about 4-5 days.
