Works as intended-quality seems good. Time will tell.
This is a revelation. The switch on my lamp failed in an always on position. This was an inexpensive way to avoid tossing out the light. The switch seems durable and was ready to go out of the box and was available for a reasonable price. Works great.

verry good inline switch
excellent switch for Christmas tree lights. very well made, hey it survived the amazon packaging. no kidding. It was just thrown in a soft package. with no packaging material. proves it is very well made. I would defiantly buy another one. very convenient to have. very easy to operate. leave it on the floor or on a table next to the tree, with Santa clauses cookies. HAPPY HOLIDAY TO ALL!

Works great, wish cord was longer
This was ALMOST perfect. Button works great, but the cord from the button to the wall could stand to be a lot longer. Our christmas tree is tucked in a corner, and the plug is behind it. This does help me from having to squeeze between the tree and the wall to reach the outlet, so it will work.

Workable If You Consider This A Collection Of “Parts”
I Understood When Buying This, That It Would Be Marginal But Usable As Delivered. The Bad: No Way Will This Thing Handel 15 Amps Per The Description. 1) The Wiring On The Cord Appears To Be 18 Ga Or So, It’s Not Up To Handling 15 Amps AND The Micro-switch Inside Is Clearly Marked 10A (AMP) 2) The Ground Wire Was Not Connected To Anything. (It Should Be Attached With A Ring Terminal To The Metal Case For Obvious Safety Reasons) 3) The Cord Is Secured Inside With A Screw And A Flimsy Metal Strap That Could Easily Be Pulled Out 4) No Gasket Supplied Between Housing And Top As Shown In One Of The Product Photos The Good: Mechanical Parts Are Of Better Than Good Quality So I: 1) Replaced Strap With Waterproof Cord Fitting From Local Home Repair Store For $3.00 2) Added Ring Terminal To Ground Wire And Screwed To Case Using Existing Screw From Flimsy Strap 3) This Is Probable Excessive, But I’m Getting A Gasket for the Lid Made Via 3D Printing. Overall, I Am Giving This A 5 Star Review Because The Parts I Really Needed To Be Heavy Duty Are the Housing And Lid, And It Pretty Much Is What I Expected. Also, I Consider This A 10 Amp Devise Which Is A Lot More Than I Need For My Applications. With The Modofocations It Now Compares With Foot Switches Costing 3 Times As Much.

Leaks Small Amount of Voltage
We bought these ( 2 of them) to use year round for seasonal decorations in our home. We have a large angel , approx 4ft high, that has a outer skin of burlap and inside are small white italian lights. Both of these cords allowed a small amount of voltage through, when in the OFF position, that the lights burned dimly. Just to be sure when used different wall outlets and still the same result. I dug up a similar cord we bought a few years ago for our Christmas Tree at a box hardware store and the angel lights DID NOT light up.This is a HUGE safety issue, please beware when using these cords.
