Keeps my overheating gaming laptop cool
My gaming laptop has a known issue where the video card will cause the laptop to heat up to the touch, which also slows down it's performance drastically and if left unchecked will cause permanent damage/ computer failure. I've used lots of laptop cooling pads, most of which are just not as effective as they should be. At times I've even had to using a cooling pad from the freezer in an attempt to cool down this beast! Ugh... Well this vacuum cooling fan seems to be doing it's job pretty well. The temperatures it has been showing on the display are in the 30's and 40's. I haven't tested it out with any major video editing type jobs, but it has done great for light gaming. It comes with multiple rubber vent covers to direct the air through the fan and I found one to fit easily. My only complaints are:-The plate that attaches to the bottom of the fan to keep it in place doesn't hold it up as well as I think it should, it sags a bit like I need to put a support under it.-The display is in a foreign language and the instructions didn't give any indication on how to change it. There are only 2 modes: manual and auto, so it isn't difficult to navigate. I found that I had to put it in manual mode and turn it up to max. I didn't feel confident in it's cooling in auto mode.

Melted, Not Safe
I first bought a Hayata vent cooler for a Kangaroo desktop mini pc. It worked great, but was very loud.I read a bunch of reviews which suggested this fan as the quietest of its type. So I got it today.Immediately I was thrilled because I plugged it into my USB hub, and even on high, it was quieter than the Hayata fan. I decided to set it to "auto" mode, had the Kangaroo run a virus scan and walked away. When I came back, there was a stench of burning plastic which I initially attributed to rubber sleeve. But then I realized my usb hub was blinking and the fan was totally off. My Kangaroo was overheating. The power port in the fan was bulging, melted and smoking. After I unplugged it, it was a miracle the rest of my hardware survived. This POS is going back. But if someone can recommend a quieter fan, I would appreciate it.

This does not work with an HP Pavilion dv7 that has a battery with a raised lip.
This product does not work on an HP Pavilion dv7, especially if you have a battery with a raised lip. In order for this product to work correctly the laptop or note book has to sit flat onto the desktop, for the flat piece of the product to slide underneath. There is no suction when using the rubber pieces which keeps the device pulled onto the laptop like a suction cup. the only way it might work on a raised laptop is to use adhesive on the underside of laptop, and maybe it can hold the device up from your desktop surface and stay on the laptop. I don't want to risk using adhesive on my laptop to hold it up.I would suggest to the manufacture that they make some kind of hooking pin from the device that can hook onto the vent of the laptop, so it can work on raised laptops or notebooks.

Moves A Lot Of Air, Can't Say For Sure If It's Really That Effective
Having had previous issues with my HP ENVY DV6-7214nr not cooling itself properly and it overheating performing menial tasks, I decided to go this route, but I also managed to replace the internal fan and the thermal paste just before this arrived, so I can't say for sure if it really would have helped much, as my temperatures at idle dropped about 10 deg. C after the fiasco. It does seem to move a lot of air, and I imagine it would help if the laptop needed it.It is also made fairly sturdy and the mechanism for getting it around the fan exhaust is conveniently made so that there is nothing to stick to the computer that could possibly damage it, and it does pretty much everything I expected without issues, I see no problems with it.

Totally Worth The Cash.
So little did I know about this laptop but according to the reviews I decided to give it a try and buy it. When It came, I was Shockley surprised by the box it came in. It came in a small box but inside was all the components. It came with a plug to plug in the fan to your laptop, rubber tubes Torino the right size to fit your laptop, and the fan itself. At first, I wasn't sure how to turn it on but then I read the instructions and it was all clear now. What I like especially about it is the modes. It comes in 5 modes. From 1 being the low fan power to 5 being the strong fan power. I was able to play a game I couldn't play for hours. In Conclusion, this is definitely worth the cost.

Awesome invention!!!!!
Ok this is AMAZING! I had a flat cooler w 2 fans but one started making a loud noise and I had to carry it with a power cord every time I took my laptop downstairs. Geesh....Tried this and I am amazed. I have a Dell touchscreen laptop and took it off of the old fan and sat the laptop on my wood dining table, put thisup to the side with one of the suction type adapters and turned it on. 2 hours later.... I lifted the laptop up to feel temp, COOOLLL as cumcumber! Whaattttt? yes... Very simple to use (when I opened the box it looked complicated for 2 seconds Voila up and cooling.... pick the right size silicone cover, pop on the vacuum, plug in USB and I selected manual and speed. Love this, extremely portable. even has temperature window.

Does what it says on the tin.
So far this is working really well. I have noticed a dramatic drop in core temps -- upwards of 5 - 7 degrees C -- when using this. It's a tiny bit noisy, but nothing I can't live with, and it's simple to turn it off when necessary. The box needed a little support to sit level with the exhaust on my laptop, so I wedged one of the umpteen cables coming out of my pc under it, and no problem. Overall a good buy, especially for the markdown price. It's not pretty, but it does its job well.

Dispeling heat from a hot laptop
I have an HP M6 1205 with an A10 5700 model CPU. Its been heating up the new SanDisk SSD I put in it . . So I tested when I received it. I ran a Norton virus full scan. It keep the heat away from the ssd completely and dropped the temperature of the case from 70c down to 57c during the whole scan, its automatic also . So this thing really dose work well . And I highly recommend it for gamers or people with hot running laptops or A10 laptops Hahaha
