First let me start off by saying I LOVE these bento boxes!! Going back to school shopping is not my favorite thing to do on earth and I originally bought a cheaper version of these type of bento boxes from Wal-Mart and they just were NOT cutting it -very cheaply made and cracked right away. My BFF actually posted on FB about these Qualitas ones and she highly recommended - as she has been using for a couple years now and she LOVES them too. So, I decided to follow suit and try them out for myself and so glad I did! They are extremely well made and totally do the job for my kids lunches. I didn't use bento boxes last year for the kids lunches and thought I needed to be more EARTH FRIENDLY and stop using all that plastic that gets used ONCE and then tossed out -SO WASTEFUL. These are PERFECT!! You can wash them by hand or in the dishwasher (top rack) and you can even use in the microwave because I have to admit, I love them so much I now use for work too and super safe for microwave use. To top it off, they are a great price and come in cool colors! They are not meant for liquidy type foods though, so if you're looking for something completely leak proof then don't get these --but I have put fruit and even cottage cheese for my lunch and did not leak at all, so just use liquidy foods with caution in these. I ordered this item several weeks ago, with back to school in mind. My three year old just started full time pre-k and I wanted a container where he can open only one lid and have an assortment of food, enough to fill him from 9 to 230 pm. This box is it. It is just as advertised, sturdy and yet easy to open. I love that I have enough of them for the week. And that my order came with a complementary duo pack of silicone baking cups which came in so helpful when separating food. Just so that you can gauge if this is the right product for you, just keep in mind that this box is quite large, (enough for an adult lunch). The dimensions are just as stated, and you may want to make sure that you have an appropriately sized lunch box. I over pack my kids lunches, so for me this is the choice. Like other boxes, it is not leak proof, but the top isn't flimsy either. It stays on. I would definitely recommend this over a higher priced option!Update:The end of the school year is here and the boxes are still in great shape! Actually came back to scoop up another order for the next school year and another child. I have used other brands of bentos and they break. These are still easy to clean, no weird odors or discoloration. I definitely recommend them!!!

Love these bento boxes. You get the bang for your buck. I was eying the all in bento lunch boxes for my son when he started the school year but couldn’t get myself to actually spend that much on them; despite the reviews I wasn’t convinced. Then finally during my many repeated searches on amazon as I was scrolling while trying to convince myself to go had and complete the purchase of the bento lunch box that’s been in my cart since before school started I stumbled across these!!! And I was sold instantly! Great size. Just enough sections. Not overwhelming for a 1st grader to see when they open their lunch. You have your meal, a healthy snack, and a simple treat! I’m so happy I got them! My son loves them as well. They fit perfectly in his lunch bag that came with his back pack and still room for a 6oz juice box. The foods don’t mix. Each stays put in their section light weight. It’s perfect. And best of all it comes in a bundle of 5! For the days he forgets his lunch box at school theres another one to use! I would definitely recommend.

Great for kid lunches, the lids don't snap on very well, might just be me but it takes some wiggling to hear a good sealed snap but still happy with the purchase. Good size portions for any kid meal I've put together. Fits a whole uncut hotdogs, small sandwich, etc. I've out a "cutie"orange uncut and the lid still closes but anything bigger would stick up too far

My daughter's preschool changed their policy for snacking since the Covid-19 happened. It used to be a community thing where each parent would sign up to bring the snack for the whole class. Now we must send our child to school with their own snack. That led us to looking for a nifty container/containers we could use for her snack time. We came across these and loved the look of them. They are literally perfect. It has three compartments so we are able to do a fruit/vegetable, protein, and a carb dish. I love the sizes. It really helps with portion sizes. Also, no leakage of the other foods together. We have been using these for 3 months now and they are still in great shape. We also use them for our hiking trips to pack our daughter and son food. These are great for adults too as me and my husband use them. Super easy to clean.

So far, these have been working perfectly for sending meals to the sitter’s house for my 13 month old! The separate compartments are nice for keeping things like juicy fruits from soaking the other foods (nobody likes a soggy PB&J sandwich!). They’re dishwasher safe (top rack only), which makes clean up a breeze!The only slight “issue” is if you just try closing the lids by pressing on the four corners (like most containers), it won’t close completely; the end with the two compartments will still be up (see photo; sorry if it uploaded sideways!). But all you have to do is press down *firmly* on the edge where the two small compartments meet & voila! Honestly, this probably isn’t a bad thing, it just means the lid is very secure! The only thing I haven’t tried putting in here is anything liquid, like soup, so I can’t report as to how “leak proof” the containers are.Overall, this has been a great buy!!!
