Minecraft: Redstone Handbook (Updated Edition): An Official Mojang Book

Great strategy Guide that helped out when it was needed the most. The details for secrets and hidden moments was also appreciated. Great buy for a gamer in need.

My son was 8 years old when we got this for him last Christmas and he still uses it sometimes when playing Minecraft. He thinks his Minecraft books are indispensable to him and even his now 13 year old sister references them when playing. Great, great purchase. If you are on the fence of ordering hardback vs paperback, go ahead and spring for hardback. A paperback would have a broken binding by now based on how much my son and daughter use it.

Gave it to our niece for her birthday. She loves Minecraft and loved this book.

One of my grandsons is really into minecraft. I really don't understand much of it but when we were visiting him we took him to a book store and this was the book he wanted. Of course, being young he wanted it immediately but I decided to order it on Amazon instead. Imagine my surprise when it arrived at the house before noon the next day!. He loved it so much. He had to sit and devour it right away. It apparently has hints and helps and shows some of the things about Redstone that will help him. Although I know almost nothing about Minecraft or Redstone, I do know that getting a 7 year old boy to sit down and read a book on a summer afternoon is always a good thing. Even if it is only to prepare for his next electronic game.

Easy enough for my 7-8 yr old son to read. Obvious obsession with minecraft helped but got him to read some nonfiction he is interested in. We picked up some cool tips and info for when we both play.

I ordered this for my third grader after her school book fair sold out before she could get a copy. The reading is a bit challenging for her at times, but my understanding is the Redstone building/crafting is one of the more difficult elements to work with. She is able to follow the steps with a bit of help and has enjoyed perusing this book. The binding is of a library quality and the pages are printed on a heavy weight, semi-gloss paper. The overall quality is very good.

Redstone is my sons favorite. He had actually checked it out from library every week for like 6 months (until we bought them all). My 9 ur old son is obsessed with Minecraft. We have purchased all these books and he loves them. I do recommend the hard cover books just bc the one paperback we do have hasn't held up as well- obviously. We repurchased in hardback, which I think are "updated" version. My son actually uses all the books when playing Minecraft. Good purchase. I actually recommend just buying complete set bc after purchasing one he wanted another.

My kid picks out his bedtime story book, and more often than not it is this one. He has read it cover to cover several times. He tries to replicate the instructions from the book into his game. It's great for the minecraft obsessed kid. Gives him something to do when he's done with screens for the day.

I am a huge Minecraft fan, and know a lot of the intricacies of Minecraft. As such, I thought this would be nothing more than a complimentary extra. To my surprise and delight, I actually found some of it to be quite useful! There were a few designs and contraptions I didn't know about, or some that inspired me to make other interesting builds! It also has lots of nice illustrations and pictures, and is printed on a nice premium paper. A must have for hardcore Minecraft fans and may also serve as more than a mere accessory!

Definitely an amazing book. Bought for 11 y-o brother, and he absolutely loves it. Redstones to be a harder topic to understand, so this book makes it extremely easy for first-timers who want to use Redstone for automation, switch uses, sliding doors, and much more. Goes in-depth from the basics to complicated circuits to give the MC player the whole shebang on what they need to know. Definitely full of visuals, texts to support (when pictures don't do justice), and inspires people to build complex machinery to make their MC world a tad bit cooler. Anyone who plays MC needs this handbook above any other comparable handbook.

Bought this book for my daughter that loves Minecraft, though she doesn't read english, this book and the photo explanations, helped her to achieve many tasks she didn't know how to do. We are very happy with the book.
