The slim, purple pods of this Italian favorite are a delicacy with sweet and nutty bean flavor that will have you saying, "delizioso"! Trionfo violetto literally means "purple triumph", and you will agree once you've tried it. A gardening friend introduced this variety to us, and we loved its thin, crisp, and flavorful purple pods that reminded us of a gourmet French filet bean. In the garden, the highly ornamental 6'-8' tall vines have abundant lavender flowers that bloom against lush green leaves with purple veins and purple stems. Like other purple beans, the 7"-10" long pods seem to magically turn green when cooked but remain tender and flavorful. A very productive variety, you will be harvesting beans until late summer.

I started some for us and some for a friend who grew them on our recommendation as to how much we love them cut up
We make a tipi of long 2 in. poles, 3 poles to a stand, and plant 3 plants per pole. They twine up the poles quite readily with very little work on our part. I think of a whole pkg of seed, I only had 3 that didn't sprout. I started some for us and some for a friend who grew them on our recommendation as to how much we love them cut up, some minced garlic, olive oil, a bit of water and salt, pepper. In a covered dish in the microwave a few minutes....perfection! We've grown this variety a couple of times and have plenty to share w/ others. The beans turn green in cooking, but would retain the purple in a fresh salad if you like the crunch factor. I snack on them right off the plant as I'm cruising around looking for what else needs picking.

Love these purple green beans
Love these purple green beans. They produce sooner than blue lake pole beans for me (in the north). The pods are very long and nice and plump. Stunning deep purple green beans turn green when cooked. They are stringless and just a great green bean. Will continue to plant these as my main green bean variety.

Recieved on time
I have not eaten these yet, but they are beautiful in the garden and I look forward to a fall crop.

Great Beans
These are beautiful beans, and they are very tasty. We got a lot of rain in a short period of time, and it made the ground so wet that the beans have been fighting against fungus. But they are still producing. Will buy this variety again.

It grows to easily 7ft tall in good conditions
These seeds are hard to find, and this is a very delicious and tender bean. It grows to easily 7ft tall in good conditions. Pods turn from purple to green when cooked.

Delicious beans
Love the taste of these beans from past experiences. Seems they are taking a long time to grow this year but my plant is just about to explode with beans soon! Waiting patiently!

Wonderful tasty beans
Best beans ever. No strings, purple until cooked then very green. These are the only beans we will grow. They do not freeze well however. But for fresh, they are the absolute BEST!
