Good quality.
Great binoculars for birdwatching and looking at buildings etc. (I'm a building surveyor so will use them a lot for this). I upgraded from an old pair of inexpensive 10x42s. The Zeiss are a nice size and fit in my coat pocket without the case - they are obviously bulkier than opera style binoculars. Good clear and bright image quality. Feel robust and well made and I expect them to last. Very happy with them and would recommend.

Quality to cost sweet spot
Quality to price ratio is top rate. I compared these to the next level up from Zeiss and Svarovski and could barely discern a difference in view quality. For general and occasional use these are a fantastic bargain. More demanding or discerning users may need a level or 2 above involving a doubling or quintupling of the cost. These Zeiss are the bang for the buck sweet spot. They are relatively lightweight, comfortable to hold, well designed, easy to focus, well built. I can see them lasting me a lifetime. Update after 2 weeks, the only optical abberation I have spotted is when I looked at a crow on a chimneypot about 8 M away against a dull overcast sky I could see a slight fringe of purple/blue around the bird. This is a pretty severe test I guess and om not sure how others would handle it. Still very happy with the quality. You could almost count the hairs on a squirells tail at 15 M.
