When I received it, it was only 3 1/8 X 3 1/8 X 3 1/8, so the measurements are misleading and false. It is a sturdy product and, I'm sure, great for displaying a baseball, but I had another use that required the larger size. Fortunately I was able to use it for something else but glad I only ordered one. I have a baseball in which the former pro player (Mickey Owens) wrote various records all over the ball. A stand would partly obscure these. I looked for a cube WITHOUT a stand for this reason. Ball fits tight enough in the cube without rolling around. Can see all of Mickey's writings. I wish it might have been a bit cheaper! The cube itself is nothing to rave about as the two pieces slide together with little effort. Simple disign for a simple function. The only problem I have is that there is a gap between the ball and the walls of the cube which allow the ball to roll around. I'll attempt to address this by placing a laminated card of the names/numbers of the players in the cube.
