These are nice mittens. I bought them not for shooting bows and arrows, but just for hiking or normal work. I heeded other reviewers and didn't do any heavy work in thorn bushes, and so far not a single tear! I do actually use them to work on a keyboard laptop computer in an environment with mosquitoes flying around, and I didn't get bitten. I was even able to hit the space bar with the thumb still in the mitten! It was a little cumbersome, but something to swallow with Malaria mosquitoes all around. I only wish it had a similar opening for the thumb, and that the finger opening was a little larger, as my fingers felt a little constricted as I typed. They are NOT hot, however, as these are very breathable. They only look a little cheesy to others; so as long as you can live through that you'll love these!

They do keep bugs away , however they are somewhat awkward to wear . The slit on the palm allow you to use your fingers as needed.

My old ones had the cord to separate and these have a different kind of separation material. We'll see how they perform in the Louisiana marsh this bow season.
