The advance copy I read of this book is my first from this author and, woo hoo, what a wild ride it was! Intense, heart-pounding action and suspense with sweetness and steam make for one fantastic read. Ms. Shaw is a gifted author who masterfully crafted a riveting story that’s exciting and intriguing as well as professionally polished. I loved Daniel and Katie and hope I have a chance to get to know the peripheral characters more. I highly recommend this book and will definitely be reading more from Ms. Shaw!

Nothing good can ever come from a story where a young woman comes into a police station to report a murder and ends up kissing the detective who is taking her statement. Nothing good police-wise but something deliciously wrong romance-wise. Daniel Webber is in deep before she can even get her story out. Katie Marsh falls almost as quickly. This book is a detective story/ romance. Even as Daniel is working to solve the crime, there i always time for romance. LK Shaw continues to build on characters from her previous books and they come in to help solve the murder and save the day. This is a quick and enjoyable read.

Lots of intrigue and suspenseful adventure. Each character has their own set of secrets. The telling of this tale is very well done. Katie and Daniel each want to find a way to get the killer. The attraction they have for each other is strong. Together they will find a way. There are some very steamy scenes also. I really enjoy the way LK Shaw writes. Do yourself a favor and get this book! At first I didn't think I would like this book but after a few pages I was hooked. Take a detective who is on a downward track of bad luck. He meets a woman Katie that he feels drawn to. Katie witnesses a murder of man who was a father figure to her. She's vowed to find out who did it. Daniel the detective knows she's in danger and will go to any length to protect her. It's a story with characters who are well written and blossom before your eyes. The plot keeps you turning the pages right up to the last one and wanting to know more. It's packed with temptation and sex, really hot sex. I enjoyed this book and would recommend you give it a read.

This isn't a bad story, it just isn't at all what I was expecting. It's part of the Doms of Club Eden series but it has nothing to do with BDSM, Doms or Club Eden. It has characters from the series in it, but that's the only related factor. Daniel is a cop who has messed up a few times. Katie witnesses a murder and meets Daniel when she goes to the police. There is an immediate mutual attraction. The relationship goes from hot to cold to hot as Daniel tries to do the right thing since she's a witness in the case, but that means they would have sex then he'd immediately push her away. She's being threatened and somehow they are suddenly in love. This has a weak plot with her going out for a walk when someone is after her and him going to work when there is a hit out on him. The man after them is supposed to be powerful yet they have only one person guarding the house. This felt more like an outline than a developed story and I really don't like it when the title or blurb is misleading.

This story was explosive right out of the box. Katherine witnesses a murder and she's thrown almost immediately into the arms of a cop. Webber is not your average policeman, we already know from the previous stories that he's not the "do-it-by-the-book" kind of officer. In this instance it's probably the only thing these two have left to get out of this alive. This is a fast paced, in your face romance, that might not actually happen, but the story moves quick and you are eagerly awaiting what might happen by the end.

Detective Daniel Webber's career has taken a few bad hits! His case a year ago ended with a prostitute being killed! So on the verge of being suspended he let another case slip through his hands cause of an attraction to a woman, then just a month prior he was involved in yet another case which involved so much corruption starting with cops, chief, all the way to the mayor's office. So to forget how messed up his job and life became he took to booze and women! That all changed when Katherine Marsh walked into the precinct looking for help to get revenge on the man that murder the man that was like a father to her. Only problem is she didn't see his face! Now she is the one who is getting threatened! Katherine is everything that Daniel has ever wanted in a woman but he knows the consequences of getting involved with someone he needs to protect! Katherine has other ideas! She is a woman and doesn't need a man telling her how she should feel or why it is wrong to be together! Will Katherine have time to convince Daniel that love is worth the risk before it's too late?

I have had several of these books in my library for sometime well they caught my eye and I am kicking myself for not reading them sooner. I started with the first book and I haven't been able to stop. I am now I am on the fifth book and I have averaged one a day since. This is a well written story and series. The characters are wonderful. I am glad I am reading these in line. It helps me understand the dynamics between the characters. Please remember this is a BDSM story and may not be for everyone.

Daniel Webster is a great cop, but he has flaws. He has had a few mishaps in his line of work, and he is so close to losing his job. Katherine Marsh enters the police station to report witnessing a murder and Daniel is immediately drawn to her and feels he has to protect her at all cost. There are no BDSM elements in this story, but it is not really needed. There is action, suspense and plenty of steam. It is a quick story and fast paced.

Thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Lots of action great characters and sexy times. Kept me well involved and found it all fast paced. Exactly how i like my books. Looking forward to more of LK's books!
