First impression is great.
Upon first inspection, the chair is impressive. I see a lot of reviews stating that it falls apart pretty quickly, so if I begin to have similar issues, I'll amend this review. In the meantime.... I go to the lake and river a lot, and I was tired of sitting on towels, so I thought I'd finally order a folding chair. I'm a bigger person, and tall, too, so I was worried that I'd end up with something flimsy that would be uncomfortable and unstable, and result in an embarrassing chair collapse in front of others (bigger folks will understand my fear). Anyway, this one said it was heavy-duty, and held up to 500lbs. I fall well under that guideline, so I took a chance. It arrived today (1 day sooner than expected, I might add). I opened the box, and was delighted to see that it came with a carrying sleeve complete with shoulder strap. I unwrapped it from it's sleeve, and the first thing I noticed was that the poles that make up the structure are easily twice as big around as the average camping chair. Ok, that's a good sign. I unfolded it, and was all smiles. The bottom part of the seat (the part you put your butt on) was longer than most by a few inches. The chair itself was also wider than most I've seen. It opened easily, and I sat down in it, and it was quite comfortable. I wondered how it would be for an extended period of time, so I watched a movie while sitting in it. It remained comfortable. The only thing I wish were different is something that most people won't even notice, but I will, because of how I'm built. I'm almost 6ft tall, but I have a very long torso, and short legs. In short (no pun intended-ok, maybe a little intended), I sit very tall in chairs. The arm rests weren't high enough for me to rest my forearms on them. But, as I said, that's something that the average person will not have an issue with or even notice. When it came time to put it away, I figured I'd never get it back in the sleeve, but to my surprise and delight, the chair folded up easily, and slid right into the sleeve. If it lasts, I'll order another one.

Good price, holds up to abuse pretty well
I carry this chair in my car and use it at the beach, parks, camping, desert. Just bought my third - the stitching on the back support and under the butt finally wore out after five years or so. Glad it’s still available!I’m 6’ 250lbs and it’s comfortable for me. The pockets in the arms work well for a soda or beach rocks.I like the “feet” because they don’t sink into the sand. I wash them with seawater. I hose down the chair now and then and let it dry outside.

Pretty nice chair
I held off on reviewing this one until after having a chance to use it a few times in rugged camping terrain. Overall it is a pretty nice chair and certainly adequate to hold up under heavy duty use by people of various sizes and shapes, including persons of large size.I found no defects in the quality of the fabric or stitching. It is pretty well made, although a little plain in design. The only reason this does not merit a full 5 stars in my opinion is that the shaping/contouring of the fabric and padding could be designed a little differently so that the edges of the cross bar supports where they rise up toward the cup holder front in the front don't push so hard against the outer edges of the upper leg. No matter your size, really the design of this chair means that the fabric flexes your legs down into this area somewhat and if you sit for more than a few minutes at a time, it can begin to make your legs sore at those points. However, it is a minor inconvenience rather than a deal breaker and really, I think easily adaptable by using a small folded towel or blanket along the front edge for extra padding it if gets bothersome. So to sum up, for the price if you need a folding camp chair that is adequate to meeting the needs of in particular, larger persons, this is a good buy.

Poor quality disappointed
Positive: sits higher than most folding chairs...good for my bad knee...which is why I bought it.Negative: poor quality material and sewing. Bought chair one year ago but only used it about 5 times for 2-3 hours at a time last season. In that time the sewing began to let go (and material freying) at stress points where the arm material is sewed around the frame. the bag fit very snugly over the chair and sewing was letting go and fraying there too. Because I didn't want to hassle with shipping and a return...I took it to a shoe maker and paid another $20 to have the mentioned torn areas reinforced and re-sewed. I have now used it 3 more times...and tonight I noticed that the material is freying at 3/4 points (front of arms and back of chair) where the fabric is attached with a screw (tearing away from the screws).....AND fabric is completely tearing through at the top back of chair where fabric is stretched over the metal frame! I am extremely disappointed in the quality. I used a cheap $10 folding chair for about 8 years prior to this one...and it is still in perfect shape (it just sits lower). This one won't make it through the summer and it cost 3 x as much...plus my cost with the first repairs. I don't even know if the present tears are able to be repaired. As to the chair holding up to 500 lbs....I weigh half of that....and the material is pulling apart everywhere. It would never hold up to 500 lbs. while the fabric feels heavier/stiffer than that of other chairs on the market....it seems as though the fabric is a looser weave material....and I wonder if that isn't part of the problem with all the tearing and freying ....that and that the seam allowances were so tiny that the least bit of stress on the sewing tears it apart.it is truly a disappointment, as I like the way the chair sits and hoped to have it for many years.

Certainly fills very sturdy but not as wide as expected and would prefer ...
Certainly fills very sturdy but not as wide as expected and would prefer solid arms as this makes easier to get up off the chair other than that a good chair

Not heavy duty nor 500lbs capacity
Not heavy duty at all, and it does not support 500 lbs. Frame is flimsy and joint between part is made from cheap plastic. Mine chair is now unusable because the plastic joint cracked while being way under weight limit of the chair. For a normal weight person this chair would be nice and should be comfortable. My friend who used the chair said it was nice to have a larger seating area.I would stay away from the product if you are over 300lbs.

CUTS YOUR LEGS.. MIGHT HOLD A LOT OF WEIGHT IF YOU LIKE PAIN
Worst chair I've ever sat in.. legs won't reach the ground as your almost sitting 8inches below your knees it sinks in so much.. and the metal bars have a curved V shape right at the knees cutting circulation and is very painful.. sat once for 3 mins.. had to get out.. asked others to sit in it.. same story. Worst chair.. sorry I took it out of the box months after buying. was waiting for the snow to melt.. Now I can't even give it away..

Broke within a few days
Super comfortable - for three days. Broke on our first camping trip out. Unfortunately it was a father's day gift and by the time we used it, it was past the 30 day return window. Even the HEAVIEST person to use it was almost 200lbs BELOW the max weight. I will say it was really comfortable, but doesn't matter if it can't be used :(QSuper disappointing!
