They aren’t the weight of normal rounds, also don’t expect them to run in a lever action 357 or anything like that. However I bought these for my Jframe and they are great for practicing reloads and general CCW dry fire training. I always have a strip loader loaded with these in my dresser for practice and if you CC a revolver you should do the same.

Made from machined aluminum, not 3-D printed plastic. These are much more exact in tolerances and built to last a long time.

I mean these do exactly what they’re supposed to I suppose, although I would love to see some comprehensive testing to show that these really prevent breechface cracking or other issues due to repeated dry firing. The “primer cap” is a rubber piece. Does this slow down and restrict the firing pin similar to a real metal primer? Well obviously not, we’re comparing brass? to rubber. They are not going to have the same material properties. The question is whether this difference is enough to cause damage to your pistol after repeated firing. I have seen other brands of dummy rounds with metal, spring loaded dummy primers. Maybe these do a better job of preventing dry fire issues? Or maybe the rubber primers are fine, but I’m not 100% convinced the Snap Cap design for dummy rounds is sufficient to prevent issues in all cases. Then again I’m talking out of my ass a bit. The other aspect I really don’t like is that these dummy rounds are nowhere near the weight of real lead rounds. Next time I buy dummy rounds, I will look for another brand that actually replicates the weight of the rounds. Practice is important, that’s why dummy rounds exist. I think they should be as close to the real thing as possible. Snap Caps are pretty much the same weight as spent casings, so if you don’t mind practicing with your firearm using dummy rounds that feel as light as spent casings, then buy these!

Purchased for my level action, great fun to dry fire. Quality is good but not cheap. Would give 5 star if the price is better.
