Dreamegg White Noise Machine, Sound Machine for Sleeping Baby, Kids, Adult

I really like this Dreamegg white noise machine. It seems to be helping me fall asleep more quickly, and stay asleep longer, in spite of my partner's snoring and the cats racing around in the dark. We use it almost exclusively on white noise, rather than music, nature sounds, or the "fan-sound" setting. It seemed extremely loud at first, but getting used to it has helped. Our two-year-old cat seemed terrified of the sound at first and would not sleep with us for a few night,s but now even she has accepted it as a harmless noise. My husband at first also thought he would not be able to sleep with it on, but has adjusted. I frequently come to bed later than he, and only then does it get turned on. The first time or two, it sort of woke him up when I did. After the first 2-3 nights, he does not even stir when I turn it on most nights now. I am going to buy another one for my son and his partner. They share a duplex with a neighbor with a very irritatingly loud barky dog - at all hours. They also both have somewhat odd hours with second shift jobs, so the dog is awake all morning while they are trying to sleep. They think that they will prefer the fan-sound noise, so we will see how that works out for them. It is great that it has so many options for sounds and the volume can be well-controlled.

For years, I slept with the Nature Space app playing through my phone at night - the sound quality wasn't great, and my speaker failed on my phone. So, I started using a bluetooth speaker, but sometimes my phone would update and the speaker would lose connection (and tell me so in the middle of the night, ugh) or it would randomly disconnect for whatever reason. So, that wasn't a great solution, either. I wasn’t sure I’d like a sound machine, as I do prefer nature noises to random white noise, womb noises, etc., but this little machine has a few nice nature sounds that sound pretty great coming out of this handy little speaker. The sound quality is much better than expected. I have a previous model of the Dreamegg that has a nightlight - this one does not, but while I did end up using the nightlight on the other, not having it on this model doesn't bother me at all. As far as I can tell, the sounds seem to be the same as on the other model (or mostly the same). The biggest difference, that I think was a very smart move, is that this model has a rechargeable battery, so it can be cordless, which is great! That makes it super handy for travel or simply moving it to another location (meditation, nap on the sofa, or if you have a baby-moving it to a stroller, car, etc). This model also has the controls on the side instead of the top. Not sure I like that as much, but it's not a big deal, really, and most people would probably prefer it, because it looks more like a standard bluetooth speaker. I prefer the white color of my other model (it's just a little prettier), but black is a pretty standard electronics color, so it's all good. :) Overall, Dreamegg always impresses. Great sound quality and a wide variety of noises (although the "Shhhhhhhh" sound is creepy). ha! Very durable as well.

OK so after having and using this product for 3 months I can give my full report on this product. Size: The size of this unit great, when not being used I store it in my center console. It is able to be sat on the center console top and not be a burden when being used, and it is also easy to put in the diaper bag\backpack too. Sound: The sound quality is amazing crisp and clean, and the volume level can easily become too loud which in some cases can be a good thing. It does have a wired headphone jack, kinda useless in my opinion as we use this for our 4 month old. The amount of sound choices available is great something for everyone. Controls: The controls are both great and also could use some changes. The good, the buttons are clearly labeled and easy to push and use. I have not had any "I wonder what this button means\does" situations. The could use some changes, one of two ideas or even both would be fantastic. Back light on the buttons or touch to light and adding a single little bump on all buttons to help with non looking touch would help greatly and also in the night time driving aspect when you don't want to turn on the dome light to adjust the unit. But even with the unit as it is this thing is great. Battery: I live in Southeast Missouri and we received this product in December, this year has been slightly cold lows down to 5-10* daily and cold is not great for batteries. So with that being established here is the test I chose to do I charged it fully and then left it in the truck for use. I use this product 3-4 times a week for anywhere between 15 mins up to and beyond 2 hours at a time. I still have not charged the battery. Whatever this battery is made of need to be powering everything electric and it could possibly even be the same stuff super hero's are made of. Also charging options are both 115V and USB which will be nice for when the battery does finally die. Conclusion: Buy one for every vehicle you own and buy an additional one for the house. You will not regret it if you have a little one\s that needs to here the long contentious soothing sounds to put them to sleep and give you parents a much needed break.

We have 5 of these sound machines and they're absolutely incredible!! We've tried four or five other brands and this one is our favorite! We have 6 kids and have them in every room. We absolutely love the variety of sounds and noises. We love that it has pink and brown noise options and not just white noise! Look into it if you haven't already - pink and brown noise is much better than white! This sound machine can also get a lot louder than other sound machines we've owned which is incredible. Sometimes your neighbors dogs are barking a lot or it's the 4th of July and your neighbors like M80s a little too much and you need a lot of white/pink/brown noise to drown it out. If you have loud, inconsiderate, annoying neighbors, this is the sound machine for you! My favorite feature (which I could not find in any other sound machine) is that you can unplug it and use it on the go without having to put batteries in it. We use these sound machines on roadtrips to get our babies/toddlers to nap in the car and it never fails to put them to sleep and allows them to sleep with all of the other kids making noise. We have been buying this exact sound machine for 18 months now (like I said, we have 5 of them!) and have never had one stop working. To me this is amazing because I had purchased 6-7 machines of another brand and every single one went out after 2 weeks to 3 months of use. No exaggeration. It was absolutely ridiculous. It was the same price point too! A third brand we tried would putter out after several months and although it was a lower price point, it only had four sound options (all white noise, no pink or white). Dreamegg sound machines are truly the golden egg of sound machines! Thank you for making such an amazing, long-lasting and versatile product!

I have been using this sound machine for 11 months now and absolutely LOVE it! Each time you turn it on, it runs for 1 hour unless you set it to 2 or 3 hours. As the hour ends, the sound gradually fades softly so you don't hear abrupt silence. This also runs for a long time without being plugged in. I run it for hours a day for days and forget that it ever needs batteries. I'm a psychotherapist and purchased this for added privacy during sessions when I am working from home. It is very effective at drowning out noise from outside the room and also from outsiders overhearing clients' conversations inside the room. I leave it on the same sound setting for all my sessions and place the sound machine outside my door. I do not need to have it set to the max volume and it is still quite loud. Occasionally when I want to unwind and drown out outside noise, I place the machine in the room and set it on the "crackling fire" sound for a cozy vibe. I love the variety of sounds/noises to choose from, but there is one that is super creepy to me and it's the "shhh...." sound. It gives me goosebumps and I cannot imagine it sounding soothing to anyone. When I am going through all the sounds to select a different sound, I quickly skip that one. I've never used this for sleep but there are soothing sounds for that as well. I read many reviews before choosing this sound machine and would buy a second one in a heartbeat!

WONDERFUL

Let me just start by saying the sound quality of this machine is amazing. The higher frequencies are crisp and it’s also able to hit lower frequencies that give sounds like the brown noise a really nice feel. The unit itself is well made and has a nice weight to it. I really wanted to like this sound machine but I ended up returning it because a few of the sounds really irked me. The shhh sound makes me super uncomfortable. I get that these machines are made for children too but it’d be nice if they had an “adult” version without lullabies and creepy shushing. I was also hoping the nature sounds would be nice but the crickets are too fast to be relaxing and the only rain one sounds like rain dripping off a roof into a puddle. If you’re not picky with sleep sounds then this might be a good option, but I personally couldn’t justify spending the money on this just to enjoy one or two sounds

I was hesitant at first and considered the Hatch because I had experienced how well the Hatch worked. But I was looking for something small, portable and simple. This device is in my opinion a great match for the Hatch- with a much lower price tag. Good quality sound and simple to operate. Ordering a second one for my son as well.

We needed a white noise machine for our toddlers bedroom as we are expecting a newborn. This machine comes with 2 different white noise options and is simple to use. Has a musical sound option as well if needed. Overall, good product.

This is the best white noise machine we've had so far. We've previously been through 5 other sound machines (various brands sold on amazon.sg), but all of them stopped functioning in one way or another after some time. This sound machine is definitely worth its price given its longevity and range of sounds. The white noise works like a charm in helping our baby sleep.
