Okay these are very pretty. They are smaller than I expected but that’s on me, because I was just assuming, instead of actually reading the measurements. I bought two of these for Halloween. My daughter wanted red for her vampire costume and I got “teal” for my witch costume. I put teal in quotations, because it was most definitely not “teal” it was very crayola crayon green, still beautiful, but definitely not “teal”. It still works for my costume just fine so I’m keeping it. Plus you can buy replacement LEDS on this site or elsewhere on Amazon. (I was hoping for what the picture shows as the actual color, because it looked like the typical Willow-the-wisp icy blueish color.) Another important thing to keep in mind is, there is no on/off button for these. There is only the little piece of plastic that you pull out to allow the batteries to make contact, if you lose that your little necklace stays on until the batteries run out or you find another thin piece of plastic that can slide in there to replace it with! All in all these are extremely bright and are very pretty even unlit, the add a unique accent to our costumes. I’m glad we bought these and so is my daughter.*On a side note: Without the LED light, I can see a little kid putting this under their pillow, with their tooth in for the tooth fairy.

I actually bought this for a costume and it was not expensive at all. It’s made Very well, doesn’t look cheap and now the party is over I’ll wear it as a necklace. I like the idea it opens and I can put herbs or essential stones in it which is a bonus. Be sure and keep the small tab to activate the light as you can slip it back in the little ball inside in between the batteries so it won’t burn out so quickly. I really liked this lil gem!

It’s beautiful. The perfect size. I do love it, unfortunately the clasp does not stay closed. The light keeps falling out. If I glue it shut that defeats the purpose of the light and what I purchased it for sadly. But that is my only option. To use it as a necklace only glue. No light. I am open for a better option?

I find this piece to be nicely made and works as expected. Some user reviews indicate that the LED light pulsates but this is not how the one I received works. Mine is simply on or off. As decribed in the listing the light has a plastic tab that can be removed to turn the light on and reinserted to turn the light off. The size of the orb measured at 3/4 inch which is as described. The necklace measured at 17-3/4 inches which is slightly less than the 18 inches described. The light inside the metal orb is what is called an LED Balloon Light which is a plastic ball which contains the LED, a spring, and two LR41 batteries. The batteries can be replaced but the pieces are small which can be difficult for some to work with. The only thing I would caution is that some of the pictures used in the listing are misleading where they show the necklace around a lady's neck. The necklace would only fit a small child's neck but a larger necklace can be purchased which is what I have done. Also in those two pictures the orb looks bigger than it actually is so use the measurements for guidance.

Super cool. I bought this as an actress in a Harry Potter themed murder mystery and it was a great conversation peice and looked great.

She really likes it! I also didn't know that you could take a cotton ball, could essential oils on it and put it inside it in place of the light!

Used it as part of a Halloween costume but all night people wanted to know where I got it and said they would just wear it normally. Light is still glowing three days later… not sure how to turn it off. Well packaged. It is nicer than I expected. The clasp on the chain broke while my Husband was helping me out it on… but I just replaced with a ribbon - which actually worked better with the costume.

A great gift idea for that special person who has everything. The only problem I had was with the batteries included with it. With a little work that problem eventually was solved.
