Upon receiving the pen, I was delighted by the writing experience. The grip on the plastic barrel is quite comfortable and suitable for extended use. The Quink cartridge makes for smooth contact with the paper. I may occasionally switch out to a gel refill for darker print. I like the heavy click mechanism and the fact that the plunge button is sprung even after the pen tip is extended. The metal ring on the tip of the barrel is a good idea; it will prevent the hole from wearing or stretching which would make it sloppy around the cartridge tip. The 5" length of the pen is also welcome. It conveys a "cuteness" and the clip will fully engage in any shirt pocket. Bottom line: my red Parker Jotter is now one of my favorite carry pens.
