Yes it's totally overpriced for a maple syrup but if you have any interest in whiskey/bourbon as well as maple syrup -- you might find yourself in a delirium of joy -- perhaps even tears -- when you try this silky bourbon syrup.The smell is wonderfully inviting/intoxicating and the flavor just makes you want to drink an entire bottle on its own. Snag these when on sale is my advice, unless you absolutely have to have one now. Honestly, I'm glad they're expensive because I would have bought at least 10 bottles.I definitely appreciate Pappy's diversification in other products, including this as well as their delectable bourbon bon bons. Well done!

Don't be fooled by the "Pappy" name attached to this syrup. This tastes like maple syrup mixed with alcohol. You don't get any real bourbon flavors (oak, smoke, vanilla, etc.). There are much better bourbon barrel-aged maple syrups out there; Wood's is consistently good, with great bourbon flavors. Avoid this one.
