This is a great product. It works as described. I have no problem with the fact that the cap needs to be reheated a few times as it’s unrealistic to expect a natural product like this to be able to hold heat as long as an electric cap. The whole reason for using a cap like this is to avail the electric current running through the cap & therefore your head. Also, just because the cap is cool on the exterior doesn’t mean your hair isn’t still warm. When I take the cap off I need to let my hair cool down before rinsing out the deep conditioner. This tells me that the heating capability is much better than other reviewers have given credit. The only drawback of this product is that it cannot be used while traveling in a hotel. I make sure to deep condition before a trip so I don’t have to do it again until I return home. I LOVE this product.

I had a different heat cap like this for years that I finally had to toss. I’m super happy with his replacement. Yes, you have to reheat it. This doesn’t bother me it’s like reheating any microwavable heating pad. The fabric is a synthetic that you can.wipe off easily. Great for larger heads or lots of hair. My old ones fit me just fine, but was a little tight on my daughters head who has a bigger head head than I do and thicker longer hair. This one has extra room in it and more stretch left to the band. Doesn’t run big, I think it problem just fits a wider range of heads.I wish it was filled to the band (outermost quilted squares attached to the band are empty and don’t heat up but that’s not enough to take a star away.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great alternative to electric heat caps(and going to the hair salon!) for deep conditioning or hair masques in general! I love the updated version that has several pockets for the flax seeds so they don’t all clump together in one spot. It’s also quite a large cap! It would be good for people with really thick hair or really long hair.The thing I don’t like is that it cools off really quickly. I have a 1000 watt microwave and I put the cap in for 85 seconds on power level 5(50%), and it stayed warm(not hot) for only 14 minutes. And yes, I timed it. The heat evaporated from the edges first and cooled off towards the middle.I had to re-warm it in the microwave to finish my hair masque.The band is also rather tight, and I have a small head. But I suppose that means it will just wear out slower.But for ~20$ it’s a good purchase!

I use this cap for hot oil treatments and for deep conditioning. It’s incredibly easy to use. It holds the heat for almost 30 minutes, which is perfect.

I’ve use this product twice and the first time I must confess that I was not happy with the product. I am going to say right now that it is very important to know the power setting of your microwave. I have a small microwave and even though the power was on 100 it wasn’t good enough to heat the heating/ to 30 minutes. It only lasted about 10 minutes. I had to take it off and then I put the heating pad back in the microwave and instead of putting it on 60 to 80 seconds. I put it on for two minutes that made the Too hot. This is my second time utilizing this product And it has now been on my head for 20 minutes and I am going to have to put it back in the microwave for a few minutes to get the four if that and I do have on a shower cap is so I guess I’m not really sure at this point how I feel as far as heat retention. It isn’t good this is the second time like I said that I’m gonna have to put it back in the microwave.

In the past, I bought conditioner caps that had gel pockets inside. The pockets burst, and I had to buy a new cap. The last thing I wanted was for some of this scalding hot gel to run down and scar my scalp or face.I have been using this cap for years, and it hasn't burst yet. I have accidentally left it in the microwave too long and had to wait for it to cool down to put on my head. Still it hasn't burst. I wish I had bought this one first. I would have saved the money I wasted buying the others repeatedly.

Overall, this cap is decent. I heat it on HIGH for 90 seconds and it stays heated for maybe 15-20 minutes. I could probably heat it for 2 minutes, but that might be too hot and I don't want to burn my head. This fits my head nicely, which I think I have a big head.I think other reviews said the flaxseeds fall to one side. With the current configuration, that won't happen, which is great. I've only used it 2-3 times (once a week) when I do an oil treatment on my hair. It stays on my head well. We'll see overtime if that will be the case.With heating for 90 seconds, it only stays warm for 15-20 minutes. I would have to heat it over 2 minutes to get it to stay warm for 30 minutes, but that would be too hot for my head initially. But, all in all, I like this.
