No, this sword is 1060 steel. It is written (thus spake the super guru) that a Kodiak bear requres 1090 steel and above.

Mine came with a bag if like tan sort of powder it looks kind of loke saw dust does anyone know what its for?

please dont put it on the blade like that last guy said. you dont want oily hands on your sword, or if u do make aure to clean it properly, but that isnt what that is for. listen to the 1st guy pleeease

You need to clean the blade..there are olny a few ways to do this ..it will take time lots of time thats all .hope this helps ...if that is to slow find the softest material you can to use Iknow yet it helps.
