Great saw blade, used this product for 2 decades.
I have used this pull sawblade (250) for probably 20 years and of all my saws, about a dozen or so, this is by far my favorite.I use it for general cutting of soft woods like pine and you can get accurate clean straight cuts with it if you use it right. After I got the Tajima handle and 250 blade (19 teeth per inch) I stopped using the small electric circular saw as it is messy and bulky. And I eventually did get rid of my western push saws.I do not use the coarser 300 blade as it's not for me.This blade also has the flexibility to do flush dowel-cuts. Absolutely versatile and easy to take around. I far prefer this over my fancier Japanese saws.I usually get a new blade when the red lettering is wearing and it of course bites best when new.I'd say this is just a great product over all.

tajima sharpie
this set-up of pull handle and blade is great for those of you who still like to saw wood by hand sometimes, and find it worthwhile. If you aren't buying more traditional Japanese saws, and find it hard to guess what does what, this is a good way to begin. They are not cheap, and they are not re-sharpenable by any means I know of because even if you have Japanese files, the teeth are complicated.Even so, they last for a long time and stay sharp--watch out for nails or other metal things however. These blades do cost money.I recommend the 300 blade, because, even though the others listed are finer with more points per inch, they are shorter, thinner, and not likely to be of use. If you want a much finer cut, or are making complex joints, or need accuracy and precision in your purposes, get a Japanese saw with a built in back support. I have one from the Japanwoodworker which is thin, sharp, accurate and dangerous, but limited too. When I need to cut by hand, this is the blade I reach for.

Damn good product
I don't usually bother with reviews but I saw a couple of reviews that are not what I have experienced with this product. First it is identical to the blade that came with my original saw purchased 15 years ago.Second, the packaging is all written in Japanese and it says on the blade "Made in Japan". Third, the thickness is perfect and identical to the original. Fourth, it installs instantly. Simply grab old blade and bend down. Reverse order to snap in new blade. Should last me years so long as I don't run it over any hidden nails. Good value!

Excellent, except no blade guard?
The fact that somebody is purchasing one of these indicates it's a replacement. Therefore, shipping these with a blade guard would benefit both manufacturer and end user. Charge an extra $0.33 and pocket the 800% markup on the protector, everybody wins!

great quality, even the teeth have a subtle design
First off, these saws are great. I wish they were reflective so you could line up a bit easier but still a great smooth cut. There's a subtle design to the teeth if you look closely (like an alternating black/silver & left/right slope that I'd say is a confirmation to the quality

Superior saw
The blades lock into the handles powerfully and the resulting connection is stiff where it needs to be to give control. I have used these saws for about 40 years - this brand is the best balance between cost and quality. Still have my first saw…of course it has a new handle and two new blades…;).

Amazingly smooth and easy to cut
Fantastic saw. Great sharpness. Crisp cutting. No wavering while cutting deep. Stays straight on the line. Doesn't clog the teeth.
